"Zocalo University Village is HUGE!! And very beautiful. We sat inside although next time I might pick outside on the patio. Sunday at 1:30 and the place was not full, not noisy, but the service was a little slow. However, there is so much to look at around you, you don't really mind except we wanted our cocktails and my sis waited for her cola even longer. The food is beautiful too and a LOT of it. Two of us got the 3-taco selection. I chose fish, shrimp and carnitas (yum) and sis got fish, shrimp and the mushroom which she said was very tasty. Hubby got his usual test meal of chili relleno and was pleased. The meals came with black beans and cilantro rice...A very pretty combo. Parking is plentiful as this Zocalo is in a Safeway market complex. This was my first visit to this location and I would easily take guests, especially visitors, to this restaurant. The midtown Zocalo, which I think was the first in Sacramento, is also very good and beautiful. Outside you are on the sidewalk there and parking is, well, hellish...so I'm glad to have this new to me location on my radar. You won't be disappointed."
