"We sat outside and it was very pleasant. They have heat lamps so it's great even if it get's a little chilly. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in after he brought each new item. We really enjoyed the roasted cauliflower, the banana leaf chicken, and the vegetable paella. We came back after the ballet and enjoyed a drink and listened to the band (awesome music)."

"One of the best meals that I’ve ever eaten! It is so nice to finally dine at a rooftop restaurant where the food actually matches the amazing views! The Spicy Tuna Tacos started out with one set of amazing flavors and transitioned into another set of wonderful flavors while we were chewing through the smiles that this delightful appetizer put on our faces. The Grilled Fresh Whole Fish was simply the best that I’ve ever had. Sweet flaky melt in your mouth sublime deliciousness… Try not to chuckle while you’re eating… It is so good! The views and the breeze off the ocean from floors up made you never want to leave. The seating on the balcony made you feel like you had the whole restaurant to yourself even though it was quite full. Great service as well. Thank you Area Chef! "I met my coworkers for the first time as we were coming up from Camp Pendleton. They suggested this establishment and we were excited to give it a try. I ordered the steak sandwich, medium RARE!!!!. The fries were on point, but the steak came out literally a little past well done. I didn't want to send it back, but after trying to get through the beef jerky, I finally asked the waitress to take a look. They asked me if they could make it again. By that time everyone in my party was done with their food so I asked for it to go, in a box. The second sandwich was just as bad as the first. My advice.......don't order a steak sandwich from a Mexican Restaurant!!!! This is advertised as a Ribeye sandwich......not even close. Please see the photos and let me know what you think! Terrible because my coworkers' food looked great!!!!!"

"We were there a little after 2:OO slow time in most restaurants. The service was slow to start with, but being in the restaurant business I can give a little leeway. The margarita I order has mostly sour mix , no taste of tequila. Once again I ignored it and ordered our food. The food came and it was horrible. The corn was all mayo, not grilled and a tiny sprinkle of parmesan on the plate. The chicken was bone in dark meat and the carne was old. Our daughter’s corn was the same and her Colorado was bland one old tasting. The salsa tasted like puree plain tomato’s. They took off the plate my husband and I was sharing, and 50 percent off our corn. They refused to take off anything else even though we ate none of our meals. I would have been fine to pay for my daughters even though she ate nothing if they would have taken the full cost of the corn off. They called the manager on the phone of course she wasn’t there) and she did we had to pay for it or they would call the police. I had to pay or bad food we didn’t eat, bad service and rude employees. I have never in my 30 years of experience in the restaurant business have I seen a restaurant treat customers this way. Beware. We had to go to the register (only one for the whole restaurant) and wait in line, then tell them where we sat because we never got the bill. Definitely do not recommend, and will not return. "I come here because it's close by and I can order online. Especially if I need to have dinner at a certain time because of school events. Just recently we had Back to School night and I needed pick up dinner beforehand so that we could be at school at 5:00p. I ordered online and selected 4:15p for pick-up. When I arrived, they hadn't even started the order. And once they did, it took forever. It wasn't even ready until 4:40p. What is the point of being able to order ahead? This has happened quite often. I keep coming back because I keep hoping it's changed, but it hasn't. Lastly, the service here is very unprofessional. It feels like a bunch kids with attitude running the show. If I could help it, I would not come here ever again. However, the LuLu's every where else is good! Go there instead."

"Love this place, but they were off their game today. Taco shells were soaked in grease. Filling and sides were tasty. Service started out good and then nothing. There was only one other table of 2 and one lady picking up a carry out order. They seemed to be short staffed. I only saw our waiter and one other young lady behind the counter working. Finished our meal and waited for a long time, before packing my items, that I needed a carry out container for, to the register. Waited at register for a good while along with other party needing to pay also. Almost left my number in a note, telling them to call when they were able to get me a check and take my payment!"

"Del Taco in Baker is a great place to stop if you are hungry, want to make a quick stop, and don't want to spend a lot of money.Fast food stops can be iffy when it comes to service, food quality, value and cleanliness. "I'd been wanting to go this restaurant since I saw it couple years ago. It's not one you would see on the street, I happened to be in that shopping center. It was crowded, people having fun, well lit. Almost of reviews. I had opportunity go the other night, and they take reservations although we waited about mins and no one in line no prob. People weren't getting up so I guess they liked it here. We wanted steak so ordered one of the large platters for but really could share. You get one side we got sauteed vegetables that were soggy and steamed not what I called sauteed and ordered a of garlic parsley fries. Sounded like ones I had else wear. These cold and soggy. Extra sides for tiny bit. Grill warm hard overcooked food, like it was heated up, sent completely different. Sizzling grill and smoking. Meat shrimp sizzling obviously fresh cooked this time, only thing short rib(flanken) was thin and tough again, other thick and tender flavorful. Steak perfect as before, flavorful and tender med,/rare. Chicken hot flavorful Shrimp good and different from platter. I thought manager was going to kick us, something wrong with everything but the Steak. Ok, we only want the steak med/rare can't do not in platters.ok we"ll have the steak med/rare brought us huge piece of skirt steak, perfectly cooked and left the platter, said this is way we eat. I know we were a pain to them, it worked out fine, server and manager in the end very accommodating. I'm not sure I would go back not sure if I like real Argentine food except the steak with with baked potato if they have and a lot of the chimichurri sauce thats on the table with the pico de gallo which is great. That's just us, people around us seemed to enjoy everything especially the empanadas and salads. The portions are huge. If I were to go back I'd get the empanadas which seemed to be on many tables and the salad with the steak. I'm basing this review strictly on our experience"

"We have been frequenting El Pulpo for many years and always have a wonderful experience. Tonight, we were joined by some family members from out of town and were impressed by the outstanding food and service. Despite two large parties in the dining area, the service was prompt and the food was hot and prepared with care. Our two young children, ages 1 and 3, were well taken care of - with the 3 year old receiving their dish first and the 1 year old's dish served slightly cooled on a suitable plate. El Pulpo is a fantastic local spot for delicious Mexican cuisine at an affordable price, all in a family-friendly atmosphere. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you!"

"I am a frequent customer but the service has deteriorated a lot. On one occasion I went with my girls and after ordering they brought a portion of the food and left the youngest girl waiting for a long time. Today the same thing happened, they offer a dish and then they say you have to wait because they don't have it ready. They should warn the customer before closing the order. The most unpleasant thing is an older woman who is there and makes her annoyance evident at any complaint, the tone towards the client changes immediately."

"Food is consistent and good. You need to call in your order as most orders take 30-40 minutes. I tried ordering online on their website, however when I arrived at the time I requested, my food was not ready. I ordered an hour and fifteen minutes before I wanted to pick up, but their computer system did not send them my order for an hour. I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my food. Please call in your order, it is much easier They have a small parking lot as it is shared with a hotel. When you arrive the pick up desk is right in front. Currently masks are required. Pupusas are very good and they give you enough curtido and salsa for your order. If you order plates, you can choose from a variery of side dishes. The yucca frita is delicious as well as the plantains. Beans are delicious, casamiento is a little dry but has good flavor. Costillas are excellent, in a nice red sauce with just a little heat. I love the papas guisado as I don't eat meat. Comes in a red sauce with onions, peppers, potatoes, green beans and carrots. Always a great meal."

"We were in North Carolina to visit friends, and I was believed Mexican, so they suggested this place. My friend's husband worked here. It was very crowded when we arrived. But we sat quickly at a table near the door, but it was OK. The waitress did not seem to understand what we wanted with our order, even if my friend spoke to her in Spanish. So we both worries that the food doesn't get right out. When the food came out, it was very good! We got the queso Blanco and loved him! I got Nachos and they were also very good, the waitress was very nice and brought me a small bowl of sour cream, because I love sour cream with my nachos and Tacos. We were all satisfied and would like to come back at the next visit!"

My family and I came in for an early dinner today and the music was so loud that we couldn’t even hear each other. We politely asked if they could turn it down a tad and we’re immediately given attitude. The salsa tastes like it came out of a can, chips were stale, I order carne asada fries which came out lukewarm and soggy. We also ordered their special “quesabirra tacos” they came out burnt, dry, no cheese and the consomè tasted like greasy water. We’ve given this place three chances in the last couple of years and this will be the last, Each visit just gets worse."

"Went here on a Saturday night around 6ish. There was plenty of seating available. I took my parents to dinner. All of us ordered different burritos. They let me choice shredded beef instead of chicken which was nice. Both of my parents meals were cold. My dad got tired of waiting for the waiter to come back. My mom waited, they didn’t offer any kind of apology about the issue with food or delay in service. I’d still give them another try. My food came out well and had a good bite to it. "We started dining here nearly 10 years. It was one of our favorite places from 2014 to 2019. It was always packed, very lively and the food and atmosphere were excellent! We stopped in recently, we were very excited to return! Sadly, our experience was nothing like it was in the past. It started with the waitresses less than welcoming approach, which was more of a tell me what you want, so we can get this started and finished approach. We ordered 2 coffees, she replies discouragingly with it 's instant, do you still want it?! We reply yes, when did it change? She says, it 's always been instant! No, not when Jesse was there. It was a fresh pot and you didn 't have to ask or pay for a refill. Our lunch comes, see photo. Folks...this is not true authentic Mexican shredded chicken enchiladas. This is boiled chicken rolled up in a tough tortilla with a sour tasting sauce and bland. I was concerned to eat it and Gordon Ramsay 24 Hour episodes were playing in the back of my head. The restaurant had maybe 3 booths filled, including ours. It was prime lunch time hours. No students to be found. Maybe 5 dining adults. One rude waitress. The enchiladas and rice were undoubtedly microwaved. We are told new cooks and La Casa has previously shuttered. I can sadly see why. Old food, not tasty, abrasive service. It was nothing like we experienced in the past. We were tempted to leave during lunch. I think the first major change came when Jesse left. He was the heart of La Casa!!! He ran the restaurant and managed the employees and interacted with the guests like it was his own restaurant. Sadly, it is all gone. We will never return. I don 't know how they are still open and the health department needs to check their kitchen practices and dates on food, storage and handling. RIP to the original La Casa that is no more. Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are not automatic. You will need someone to assist with opening and holding the doors if you or a guest are in a wheelchair. So definitely never received any drink refills or anything of that nature. Now the food was just meh. "Visited for the first time on the day of work after our first and second choice for lunch for the day closed and Pollos El Paisa should have been our first choice! Outside it looks like an old dinner that turns to what it is today nothing special until you enter and are greeted by friendly hosts, owners and staff. And the food? loaded overflowing tasty food stacked on plates that make everyone happy, also the friends/family at home because you bring the uneven left remains home! We ordered the paella for 2 with half a Brat chicken and platanos on the side this could have been for 4 or 5! The seasoning was correct and not too salty on everything. Roast chicken fell from the bone. The platanos were sweating, soft and tangie. The mango lamp hit the spot. A great place with delicious Colombian dishes on your plate all served with a smile. Besides, the toilets were very clean! This will be a first choice when we are in the area in the future!"
