"The restaurant's prices are too high for the quality of the food. I paid $30 for dumplings and fried rice, which was just average. When I ordered takeout, they forgot to include any sauce or a fortune cookie. When I went back to get more dumpling sauce to add flavor to the rice, they charged me a dollar for small, half-filled containers (as shown in the picture). Being charged at all for sauce is frustrating, but charging a full dollar for each container is outrageous. I would have expected to pay around 25 or 50 cents instead."

"While at dine in, I was served my drink in a styrofoam cup that had red lip stick on the rim!? Complained to the cashier and a young boy came from out from the kitchen explaining the reason they rinse out the styrofoam to go cups is due to small pieces of styrofoam in the cups!! I explained my concern was the lipstick on the rim. He acted like it was not a big deal.. I will never be back! With this pandemic going on. Why thee hell Would they rinse out a to go cup that comes in a sealed package!!?? If they are cutting corners refilling the drink left over after dine in meals? I wonder what else they?re saving money on? Disgusting!!"

"Some friends came in from Bermuda. They were staying in Long Beach. My cousin used to live in Long Beach and I asked her where is a great place to go with good food, friendly service drinks, etc. JJ Cooper’s definitely delivered all of these things. It was a little hike for us to get there, but totally worth it. My friends had a great time. The servers, the staff, the food, the bartenders, five stars all around for us."

"Went here for my son’s 17th birthday. We have frequented many sushi restaurants around town and this is by far the greatest experience our family has had. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left the staff made us feel welcome. This was our first time dining here so our waiter took plenty of time to go over the menu with us. At one point the manager came over to us to personally say happy birthday to my son and he was treated like royalty. I don’t even know where to start with the food but there was not one complaint whatsoever. Everything was fresh and clean and you could tell they take pride in this. Cheers to the staff of O-ku for making this a great and unique dining experience. We will return"
