"My partner and I decided to dine at USC last night without a reservation and were lucky enough to snag a table. We were warmly welcomed by Monique, the Sommelier, who first treated us to a glass of USC's own Tassin, which we found to be absolutely delightful. Monique then introduced us to a vintage Billecart-Salmon Cuvee that truly impressed us. To cap off our evening, she suggested a remarkable Madeira that was the best I've ever tasted. Michael guided us through the menu and made some excellent recommendations for our meal. Chris, the manager, made sure everything was perfect before we left. "Excellent food and service. Atmosphere was fair as we had a high table that bordered common area outside the restaurant. A half wall with clear glass at top did little to make us feel we weren’t part of the crowd passing by. Or on display to the crowds. After we were seated, two long tables arrived and were seated right next to us. They were on a Vegas food tour. They were crowded right up against us and the server loudly detailed the drink and food items each time they were brought to the table (basically low level shouting so entire table could hear which was very disruptive to our experience . At the point we realized he would be doing this more than once we really would’ve preferred a different table (restaurant wasn’t full but we were already into our tapas. We would not sit in that area of restaurant next time… felt like we were eating in a mall food court. We would return for the shrimp, the chorizo, the potatoes in chili sauce, spring green salad and the chicken on puréed garlic with peppers. (I don’t have access do menu atm for the dish names."

"I was in town visiting friends who highly recommended this restaurant for dinner. We also had another friend visiting from out of town, and we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated in a spacious, comfortable booth. Our preferred drink is an old fashioned, and we were pleased to find a high-quality version here. The service was exceptional; our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. I ordered the salmon, and it was absolutely fantastic! It had a light crust on the outside and was deliciously moist on the inside. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Overall, the place had a great energy, excellent service, and a wonderful ambiance. I would definitely return when I’m back in Dallas."

"The portion sizes at this restaurant are very small. We tried the Mushroom Galouti Kabab, which only came with 2 pieces of puffed mushrooms, not enough for even one person. The Avocado Raita was served in a small, shallow bowl that left us questioning why we even ordered it. To top it off, the Kullar Chai was served in a regular brown cup instead of a traditional clay cup. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling hungry despite paying a hefty bill."

"The food here is unique and appealing. The restaurant space is warm and cozy. I enjoyed trying different small plates and a few variety of wines. The cured meat and olives are excellent. The only bad thing about the restaurant is the wait on weekends."

"Good date spot with a super uniquely styled cocktail menu and delicious fries! I went on a Friday around dinner and was able to snag a spot upstairs, which was slightly crowded but still had enough room that I could have a private conversation. It was candlelit with mood lighting, so I couldn't appreciate the very artistic menu as much as I wanted to. I got the Trick Airways Dog cocktail, which was sweet and had some pineapple and biscotti in it definitely a good option for those who want a sweet but unique cocktail in a fun cup. I also had the fries which were SO good they were very thick, perfectly crispy on the outside, perfectly chewy on the inside, and paired with ketchup and another good sauce. Service was great too! I'm definitely coming back to try their menu items for dinner and some of their other drinks!"
