"Disappointed. We have been to Aspen's numerous times but we have not been there in a long while so we decided to give it a try. The host was pleasant and inviting, the bartenders and our server was very friendly and attentive. However, we were very disappointed in our meals. The shrimp appetizer was bland and not very well presented. My wife's filet was cooked as requested but lacked flavor. I ordered my ribeye medium but it was more medium well, very charred on the outside and grisly. We also ordered the hollandaise sauce but we when went to pour it on our plate it was more like the consistency of cold pudding rather than smooth and creamy as it should be, we couldn't even use it. In my opinion Aspen's was always included in the conversation with the other finer/high-end steak restaurants but based on our last experience that is no longer the case. I feel Aspen's needs to set up their game if they want to be in the same conversation with all the other higher-end steak restaurants in the metro area."
