"Buonessimo! My wife and I enjoyed a somewhat novel and delicious dinner at Ariana 's a few days ago. We were seated promptly, and given a rather nicely bound menu. Our server was a pleasant young man in a baseball cap. We went thinking Greek Cuisine, and my wife did stick to that plan. But after checking out the menu, I ventured into new territory. We tried a dish called mantu for our appetizer. Our mantu consisted of 4 5 delicate dumplings filled with ground beef and finished with what I believe were three sauces: tzatziki, pumpkin, and tomato. We both loved it. For my entree, I choose lamb Sabzi Chalaw, a flavorful but mildly spiced stew with spinach. It reminded me of the Indian dish, saag paneer. It had a rich cooked all day depth of flavor. We later learned that both dishes were cuisine from Afghanistan. My wife stayed traditional with chicken souvlaki. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Both meals were served with a small Greek salad and Basmati rice. We recommend asking the server to bring the dressing on the side. We regretted not having done so, because our salad was overpowered by too much of the strong but tasty dressing. We capped our meal by splitting the toasted almond cake, which reminded me a bit like tiramisu, but without the espresso undertones and with a cold ice cream like layer between the sponge. As we finished this delightful meal, the owner/chef wisited our table and we chatted with him for a while about his background and cooking philosophy. The ambiance at Ariana 's is pleasant, but the bathrooms are in need of a facelift. If you want to try sone unique dishes that are passionately prepared, we highly recommend Ariana 's."

"It troubles my spirit to write this review after being a faithful customer for years, but I would be doing a disservice to other Yelpers to not report the gross disrespect from the employee and manager at Prince Kabob. In short, I placed a $142 dinner order, $163 with tip and was excited to go home with my carry out. Upon arriving home 25 mins later I discovered my 2 orders of samosas were not in the bags $8/each). I called and politely notified the employee of the missing items, expecting him to simply credit my debit card. Instead he all but called me a liar and insisted the items were 'in the bags. ' I 'm not going to labor the extensive dialogue over $16 samosas but it was truly unbelievable. I explained that I am a regular customer and have no reason to argue over 2 orders or samosas when my family spends hundreds of dollars bi-monthly at this establishment. Talk about RIDICULOUS!!! He said he needed to call me back and this time it 's the manager on the phone, telling me to 'check my car ' because they 'gave me my food ' and he wanted me to describe each container, in which I obliged him, only to be told again I must have misplaced them on my counter or my car. At this point I 'd had it! The 3 bags were placed on my front seat, nothing fell out of the bags!!! It 's been a long time since I 've felt this disrespected from a business I frequent but I will NOT be back. Any business this disrespectful doesn 't deserve my money. I 've given positive reviews in the past and have sent lots of business their way. Lousy customer service coupled with blatant disrespect will ruin any business in due time."

"I went to Nora about a year ago and loved the food. Everything was terrific. This time, in early Nov., not so much. Some of the problems were not the restaurant's fault. Our host chose the wine and the starter. He selected the appetizer sampler. It was heavy and just OK. We were not given the option to choose a salad or any fresh vegetables. I would have preferred some veggies to the sampler. Our wine was champagne which was good, but did not enhance the food. My entree had lamb and eggplant with rice in a strong sauce. I could only eat about 1/3 of it and took home the rest. There I added tomato, green onions and spinach. That made it better. Also I had some mango chutney on the side. That added some sweetness and vinegar to the heavy dish. The green, liquid chutney at Nora is good, but acidic. I like both sweet and sour tastes when eating Middle Eastern food. Nora's Afghan bread was wonderful. A fellow dining companion had a chicken kebob with red bell pepper and red onion. The onion was not well cooked, too raw for her to eat. I might go back and order for myself to give Nora another chance. The first time it was so good. Come to think of it, our server was not helpful in suggesting the dishes that went well together, which would have maximized our dining experience. I don't think she knew what she was selling. Afghan food is not common in Dallas. We have to be educated. Both times I went to Nora the owner was there, sitting at a table. He could have been be involved in explaining Nora's food to diners and the cultural history. Lost opportunity, in my opinion. Afghan food is wonderful, if you know what you are choosing and eating. The decor of Nora has a few interesting pieces that appear to be Afghan. Pointing these unusual objects out, and describing them, would help diners to appreciate the dining experience more. The Dallas restaurant business is competitive. Selling your product and personalizing it is essential."
