"A server arrived almost immediately to take our drink orders, and a few minutes later, she brought our drinks and took our food orders once we were ready to go through the menu and ask some questions. I ordered three pieces of fried catfish with fries and Cajun corn, while my wife opted for a plate that included fried shrimp, hush puppies, and sides of Cajun corn and dirty rice.
I was a bit concerned that the large group's orders might delay ours, but our food arrived in a very timely manner. I also noticed that some other couples who came in after us were being served at a good pace. Throughout our meal, the staff regularly checked on us and made sure our drinks were filled as soon as they were half empty.
The food was delicious, although next time, I plan to be more mindful of the portion sizes. I tried one of my wife's hush puppies and really enjoyed it; I wish it had come as part of my meal. I think I'll ask for it next time. The only time we had to wait was for the check. We took our time enjoying the meal, and we were out the door within an hour of our arrival."
