"Competition is a plenty with numerous other sushi restaurants in Rockville Centre but this one has stood the test of time. From it's inception on Merrick Rd (current location of La Bottega) to now in the heart of Park Avenue (across from the movie theater) this restaurant delivers on taste and quality. Here you will not find a modern decorated restaurant with a beat and cocktail menu longer than the special roll list (just beer and wine served). Instead, this no frills traditional decorated sushi bar with wood accents and authentic art scattered throughout puts food quality and customer satisfaction at the top of the list. Sushi Ya has maintained substantial portions and fresh fish throughout plenty of adversity over the years. The oldest sushi restaurant in Rockville Centre stays current with a big list of special rolls featuring numerous dragon rolls and a roll for named for every month of the year. Owned by a small family trying to make ends meet they are always very appreciative of my business and I am happy to support them. Great for take-out as well if you can navigate the parking situation (lot and entrance in the back). Sushi Ya has been my top choice for sushi in the area for many years."

Every thing we ordered was really tasty. The sweet sour pineapple chicken garnished with peanuts was out standing, Especially the Thai Tea really sweet, creamy and so 'Delish ' Yummy Also the atmosphere was elegantly classy, fresh and bright for a afternoon 's Brunch. They seated us at a table with a lovely view of the Giant Gazebo park across from the restaurant. Our server was rite on point, pleasant, attentive and patient. "The food was delicious and well-prepared, with a large sushi menu featuring stunning presentations. If you enjoy succulent, rich eel, I highly recommend the Crazy Jeff Roll; it's the most expensive roll on the menu, but absolutely worth it. The Geldball appetizer was a bit too crispy for my taste and had less meat than I expected. The hibachi was delightful, served with a lovely pink seafood sauce, and the shrimp were impressively large—much bigger than what you find at many other places. For dessert, the fried bananas and cheesecakes were sweet and satisfying. They don't have their full liquor license yet, but I look forward to returning to try their drink menu. So far, we've only sampled the Thai iced tea, which was quite good. The service was quick and friendly, making this a great new addition to the area."

"I recently held my friend's birthday party at this restaurant and I was extremely impressed by the amazing staff and delicious food. "We were visiting from Miami and fell in love with this place. From our first meal, we kept returning for lunch and breakfast. The restaurant is clean, has a lovely atmosphere, and features great design. Most importantly, the service is exceptional. It’s rare to find a place where the staff recognizes and welcomes you back, which really shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. We will definitely come back the next time we're in Brooklyn. The cashier is a standout—always attentive and on top of his job. I give this place a solid 10 stars!"

"Another place my partner has introduced me to and I love it. The food is amazing. Crispy tasty tortilla chips and salsa (the spicy is where it’s at) start you off. Beverages quickly follow (we didn’t choose alcohol this visit) and are thankfully refilled without asking. Menu is clear and easy to understand and order from. And then the food comes. At this point most of it is blur. It’s that good. Rice. Fluffy and flavorful. Beans. Not gluey and they don’t taste like they were smoked with a blow torch. The Chimichanga. So good. So full. So delicious. The sauce. The cheese the beef. We basically got the same only mine is deep fried for the crispy crust. His isn’t. Go every time you want a burrito or a chimichanga. Amazing."

"My son placed the order, and it was my first time trying the food. It was delicious, but they forgot the special sauce for my sweet potato fries and didn't provide any condiments for my son's burger. I called the restaurant, and they promised a $10 refund to my credit card. However, more than 10 days have passed, and I still haven't received it. I called again to explain the situation, but no one has returned my call. After a recent surgery that didn't go well, I was really looking forward to enjoying that special sauce with my sweet potatoes. I'm very disappointed."

"I enjoy every visit to Namaste! The food is delicious, the staff is so nice, and the atmosphere is very cozy! On their busiest days the service is still great. I enjoy every Namaste visit. Their Kashmiri naan is probably the best in the state. Our family loves doing our get togethers here or birthdays Vegetarian options: Indian and Nepalese food has a lot of vegetarian options, and Namaste stays true to that. Dietary restrictions: They are willing to work with you on dietary restrictions so you have a good experience too. Parking: On Sunday parking on the street is free. They have a free parking lot behind the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and it has things every kid would enjoy, while their parents enjoy their regular Indian or Nepalese dishes. Wheelchair accessibility: The whole restaurant is on one floor and there are no stairs, so a wheelchair would have no issues!"

"My family moved into the area last year and throughout the pandemic I kept noticing that this place was still busy. My neighbor who has been a Pompano resident for 2 decades had never tried this place either, so we gave it a shot one night. THIS PLACE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! I had the Grande Burro with shredded beef, the beans are probably the best part! All of it was fresh and juicy. Everyone had some different but it was all really good. The guac was super creamy and tasty. Highly recommend this place if you want some good Mexican food."

"This was my first visit to this restaurant, though we used to come here when it was under a different name. If we had known it was Sinko de Mayo, we probably wouldn't have chosen Mexican food for dinner. However, I noticed the restaurant had reopened, so we decided to check it out without realizing the name had changed. It was packed and very loud. The margaritas were on special for $5, so we decided to give them a shot, but they were somewhat weak. I always find alcoholic drinks to be overpriced, but I guess they're a high-profit item for the vendors. The chips and salsa were just average at best. I ordered a burrito grande, but it wasn't very large and came out lukewarm. My wife had a mahi-mahi dish that didn't impress her. The server didn’t return to check on us until we were done, which is a major pet peeve of mine. It's a shame the old place closed; it was much better than this new version."

"I?ll start with the good:Easy reservations, waitress was attentive, drinks were good and accommodated dietary needs. The bad: reservations were for 6pm by 6:40 we were done. The hibachi chef seemed like he didn?t want to be there. No show just basically cooked food and left. Didn?t engage with us at all. Food was flavorless and the fried rice was cold and barely fried. They don?t do the shrimp with the meal anymore. Honestly spent a ton of money to be rushed out the door."

"We waited for 10 min before a host even came over to us to seat us. Then another 10 before the waitress came to take our drink order. We were at the restaurant for an hour and a half before we got our food. Three tables came ate and left before we even got our order. We ended up taking our food to go because it took so long to get our food. The sushi wasn’t even that good and was deffinetly not worth the price. I will never go back"

"I found this place at the beginning of the pandemic when things started to open with outside dining. It was amazing! I was a beginner at sushi and this restaurant definitely helped me get to love sushi cuisine. I used to go there at least two times a month.Then, I guess because it was the only AYCE place opened, it got popular and I don't know what happened but their sushi quality dropped immensily, like, you can't even say its the same place.For the service I might say, its one of the worst I have ever had, the waitresses barely look at you, they are always rushing to clean the tables even if you're still finishing with something. It has been like that since the beginning BUT I have always come back because of the food. Last month was my last time there, I had a gathering with friends from work and literally everyone had stomach issues the next day. I feel bad because it used to be a place I would be excited to go but now I just hate it."

"Visiting the area from out of state and met a friend here for dinner. I typically order of the child's menu at restaurants, never having a problem. At this restaurant, I was told if they let me, they let everyone. I had to go into detail why I wished to order that and the waiter kept arguing with me. Finally he said, ok we let you this time, but never again. Seems like they could care less about making customers happy and coming back. If we visit here again, we won't be back!"

"Generally the food here is solid. This isn't top grade Japanese restaurant quality food but more so like Mall food where it's fast delicious filling and highly affordable. There are so many options and for such a small place to produce so many different things it's excellent. Again for a fast food type of meal this is highly recommended but if you're looking for high end Japanese food prepare to spend much more money and go elsewhere."

"I visited this restaurant a few years ago and remembered enjoying my meal. However, during my recent visit, I was extremely disappointed with the food. The soda machine was not working and the shredded chicken tasted like it was cooked in unclean water. The salsa lacked flavor and the chimichanga was not even fried properly. The cheese sauce was flavorless and even my kids couldn't eat the chicken quesadillas due to the poor quality of the chicken. I would advise avoiding this restaurant."
