"I went to American Social on a Monday with my college roommates. We choose to go on a Monday because of the burger specials though we did not receive the special. The waitress came up to us fairly quickly though she was not the friendliest we were not bothered until she came around just about every minute as she was rushing us to decide what we wanted to order. We remained friendly towards her our whole visit as we did not want to cause any issues. Once we put our order in we made sure to let her know that we wanted the burger special and instead she charged us full price for our meals which was not that much more but we went FOR the special. We did order drinks as well. At the end of our visit, we could not find her anywhere to get the check. Thankfully we did get her attention and finished up but nearly got charged for parking since she was not around on top of being charged full price for our meals. The atmosphere was very nice as we sat outside we did get a mix of the two different radio's that they had playing but nothing terrible. The food was very good and came out quickly. When booking the reservation I did say that we had a birthday at the table but this was not recognized. I do not go out to eat often and when I do I make sure to pick a restaurant with great reviews as I want to have a good experience when I do decide to go out. I would still recommend American Social to friends as I heard great things before my first visit this past Monday."

"A wholesale bakery that has a retail front for meals! I'll be reviewing that portion of Jackie's bakery since I've never had the need to order 30 muffins at once. Wait 4/5: Usually when I come here for lunch(12p-3p) there's no line, and when there is its usually only two people in front of me picking up orders they called ahead of time. Most of the time if I'm waiting its cause they're finishing up an order I had called earlier for. Parking 2/5: The street that Jackie's Bakery is on is usually packed with cars parked on the sidewalk. There is a lot to park at but its usually really full. Jackie's does have like 2 or 3 parking spots in front of the store. Service 5/5: There's only one person managing the store front, and every time I pick up she's very nice and always tells me to have a nice day! Also one time I needed to know how many calories one of their dressings were and she gladly helped me out! So far haven't had any bad experiences regarded customer service. Food 4/5: Jackie's Bakery has consistent menu items like sandwiches and salads. They also have croissants to the left of the register and cute desserts in the glass to the right of the register. They have drink made in store and a couple sodas. My go to is the Jackie's citrus salad with chicken. This one comes with spinach, mandarin oranges, avocado, baby tomatoes, chicken and a raspberry dressing. I usually get this since it seems on the low calorie side. The salad is fresh and filling. Unfortunately there's no nutrition facts for any of the meals sold at Jackie's bakery, so I took the liberty and dissected each part of the salad at home lol. Also the portions are a little different each time, so i end up estimating around 450 calories if you were to eat the whole thing including dressing. Overall: If you're looking for already prepared sandwiches and salads I recommend calling ahead and picking up! They also have daily specials that change throughout the week, and you can find these by checking their website or calling in."

"I wish I could rate this place lower. I didn’t try any of the food since it looked deserted and the displays were lacking. The server responded to my questions with one-word answers, even during small talk, which made me hesitant to order anything else. I decided to try the ube and blueberry bubble teas after reading rave reviews from others, who clearly haven’t had good bubble tea before. What I received was a sugary concoction made from artificial powder mixed with hot water and served over ice. The drinks tasted overly sweet and lacked any real flavor. The brown sugar tapioca was crunchy instead of chewy, which is the texture you expect from tapioca pearls. The popping blueberry bubbles were just as sugary. As someone who makes bubble tea at home and considers myself a connoisseur, I can confidently say this was not it. In fact, it left us feeling unwell, and we ended up tossing it in the trash. Logically, one would expect the dark purple drink to be blueberry if made with real ingredients, but it was the ube. This drink stained our teeth and tongues purple, while the blueberry was a pale, taro-colored concoction. Such a mix-up is confusing and clearly indicates inferior ingredients. I was excited to find a place that offered ube, but it was a letdown. It should have had a creamy, nutty, and floral flavor, but instead, it tasted like taro powder. I have much better quality taro back home and won’t be returning here again. If their bubble tea is this low-quality, I can't imagine what their food would be like."
