"I recently had a wonderful experience at Manhattan Bagel in Summit, NJ. The staff at this small shop has partnered with a local pantry to donate any unsold bagels at the end of each day, instead of throwing them away like they used to do. I was fortunate enough to receive 300 bagels from them one morning, which I immediately distributed to various groups and organizations in the community. The gesture was greatly appreciated by everyone who received a bagel, and I was happy to spread some joy in this way. I applaud Manhattan Bagel for their generosity and willingness to help those in need. They are truly role models in the community, and I highly recommend supporting their business. It's time for big stores to take note and follow the example set by Manhattan Bagel in Summit, NJ. Bravo to them!"

"Absolutely disgusted and furious after leaving this place.Walked in to chaos and confusion. People entered through both doors and started multiple lines and no one knew what was going on.Employees looked unkempt and had an extremely unprofessional demeanor. The women at the counter were wearing pajamas and had long fake nails, and looked unclean, handeling food and beverages- very gross. I asked the woman at the counter for a coffee with milk and sugar (They moved the coffee station behind the counter), and she gave me a cup of milk with hardly any coffee or sugar, filled to the top, and the lid was put on incorrectly so as I walked out with food and coffee in hand, coffee spilled all over my pants. Manhattan bagels are generally consistent in my experience but this one in Westfield is a disgrace."

"The staff was incredibly rude during my visit. At this rate, I can’t see how this place will stay in business. The employee who was there greeted me with a look that suggested I was a major inconvenience. Her remarks felt more like scolding than customer service, and I barely managed to ask about the menu options without feeling like I was bothering her. I had a disappointing experience here about a year ago but thought I’d give Einstein another chance. Unfortunately, this visit was significantly worse. I'll never return. Instead, I took my money elsewhere, and I recommend that others do the same. The employee I encountered today was truly unprofessional and made for a dreadful experience."

"We’ve been coming here for about 5 years now and we’ve always had such a great experience! The staff is always so friendly and helpful! They know my husband by name and my son as well whether we walk in or whether we call for pickup. The food is always great and if there is a particular way that you’d like them to prepare them you just have to let them know and they’ll accommodate and most likely even remember your order by heart. We love supporting our local community and small businesses that are always doing their best to provide great service!"

"I used to really love this place when they first opened. I don’t know if they switched management but the service and staff had deteriorated. This morning the young lady being the counter told me to go to the next register she couldn’t take my order. While I was at the next register she proceeded to take every Caucasian man’s order. When I asked what’s going on she all of a sudden forgets how to speak English. This is unfortunate but this will be the last time I spend my money here"

"I ordered a half dozen bagels, a breakfast sandwich, and salmon spread. Everything was packed in a bag, and I didn’t check it until I got home. The only problem I encountered was that they included a bizarrely shaped bagel among the others. Just take a look at the picture—it’s clear they couldn’t have missed it. That bagel should have been thrown away, not sold. Definitely not the most classy experience. I’m starting to think I might call this place the Mutant Bagel Factory!"
