"I go to this bakery almost 3 times each at times even more. When I can not make it in store, I do grub hub orders since I enjoy eating there. I truly love the staff there: the lady cashier is super friendly, the men who work in the kitchen and make the bagels/sandwiches, and my favorite person has to be a tall guy who is sometimes on the register but mostly always in the front of the store; He always make feel extremely welcomed and recognized in the shop. While it is sad that my first comment had to be a negative one, I hope that is rectified for the future. I do understand that it is business and they are looking to make their profit. However in business at times, a relationship is important. I am frequent visitor of the shop, so I thought that counted for something. My experience today showed that no matter how many times I went to shop, it did not mean anything. I went to the shop and ordered a pepperoni slice with a drink and dessert. I left the restaurant, starting eating my pizza, and my slice had fell. I had only ate 25% of the pizza. I went back to the shop and asked the pizza shop for a replacement slice with the dirty pizza in hand for proof and he was more than willing to give it. Many of the staffers asked why I am came back and I told them I had dropped my slice and we joked about it. On my way out, I was informing the cashier that I got a new slice since mine had fell, so it did not look like I was just walking out the establishment. She said to give her a sec to consult with her higher up to make sure she did not have to charge me. She explained that I dropped the pizza and asked me what type of pizza was replaced and was advised to charge me. I understood since it is a business, so I paid for my new slice and left. However, I am aware that me consistently going there meant nothing."

"I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. The staff at the front is friendly, but the older, disgruntled employee has a problem making sandwiches for customers of color. In the past, we have not felt welcomed here, but we had limited options after moving from NYC. Today, my fiancé tried to order three breakfast sandwiches and was told they couldn't make that many because they had no cooks, even though other customers were enjoying their meals. It's a shame that I had to bring attention to this unacceptable behavior."

"It's hard to rate some places these days due to the lack of staffing. That being said, when I stopped by less than a quarter of the tables were full. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. I ordered breakfast which was okay but not great. Only problems were the sausage was cold and the toast was soggy and cold when it arrived. Other than that everything was fine."

"Sadly as locals attending an event on the strip we were excited to try Virgil’s. Unfortunately is was not good. Not only was the food brought to us cold but our server didn’t come check in. The brisket was not even warm and very rubbery. The trash ribs were cold as well but at least eatable. Ironically for a BBQ place the only thing arriving to the table hot and tasty was the veggie tacos our teen ordered. Our teen and I both order costly iced teas that were empty before food was delivered and no one came around for a refill. After reading some other reviews we realized this is an on going experience and customers blamed for not bringing it up to staff. This is terrible as our server was MIA for 20 minutes post food delivery. Bussing staff came and asked if we were finished and we said yes. Only at that point did our server come over and offered us our check if we were ready! I will pass this review to locals and visitors alike as it’s important to spend money at places wanting to do better and deliver excitable service. As a person in customer service for 25 years, the customer should never be to blame for poor performance."

"Extremely disgusted with the upper management!!This restaurant used to be a gem on the map and it rapidly went down the drain. Upper management started to cut back on a lot of costs. Food from here is no longer fresh, some of the ingredients are spoiled but still served. And worst of all, many of the staff members have expressed feeling unsafe in this establishment.I interviewed a few of the cooks and waiters and my heart almost broke!The conditions some of these employees go through are ridiculous!! Many of the employees expressed how hard it is to work for this company. They are constantly scolded, worked to the bone, and threatened to be replaced.Some of the ex-staff have even confessed to being fired right before they were eligible for part-time or full-time benefits. Many were given lousy excuses.Unfortunately, these employees hold their tongue daily in hopes of being able to provide for their families some kind of financial stability."

"I think I might be a bit late in discovering this fantastic restaurant. We've already ordered from North Point Cafe four times via DoorDash and Grubhub, and once for pickup. Each time, the food has arrived well-packaged, hot, and fresh. I have no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend trying the big breakfast platter, chicken salad, chili cheese fries, Reuben sandwich, tater tots, hot dogs, pancakes, and garden salad. "Wow my experience was horrible. I should’ve walked out when I didn’t see a long line of people ordering food early in the morning. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and a Tropicana orange juice. The bacon egg and cheese was not tasty, the bagel was still cold even though I asked for it to be toasted. The guy that was preparing the food had a bad attitude. Definitely wasn’t made with love. The orange juice was rotten, I had to throw it away. I was highly upset because I’m pregnant and I feed my baby about 1 ounces of that drink. I will not be going there again."

"I ordered two bagels for research purposes. The sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese had the ideal texture — soft on the inside with that perfect crispy outer shell. My second choice was a simple buttered bagel. It had just the right amount of seasoning, enhancing the flavor without making a mess. For a drink, I went with their iced coffee, which had that delightful Tristate deli magic to it, tasting just like the iced coffee from all the other bagel shops. It was both comfortable and tasty, although I'm not quite sure why they all seem to taste so similar. But that's a mystery for another time. If you’re looking for great bagels, I highly recommend trying Bagels and More in Bergenfield. You won’t be disappointed!"

"Went here for breakfast this past weekend. Very short wait and friendly staff. Your standard diner with great staff and really good food. All the stuff we got was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The biscuits and gravy was especially yummy! Ourwaitress was awesome and did a great job especially as she had a huge number of tables to wait. Super friendly and alwaysaround.
