"(You don't pay a menu price) Tonight we have a casual dinner, that was my second time, and it was very disappointing. Exterior and interior decor is beautiful, but I would suggest that on new menus with accurate prices. The first red flag was when we sat at our stand table, it was a bit wet, I called an employee who was nearby (manager responsible) and asked if we could get an an anger on DRY the table, immediately answer it's Sanitizer ok I then want a dry sanitary table. The rest of my experience was subpar, I ordered my food and a cocktail (the ONLY cocktail that has a price in their menu 8) my food came before my drink. It was not busy, very few people at the bar, would say 10 minutes later finally get my drink. At this point can not wait to just go, I get my bill and I see I will be charged 10 for my cocktail. I notified my waitress and she said she would talk to her manager, manager comes by and gives me an unnecessary/overtrial excuse about inflation change from 1 day to another and how (his words) owners do not want to change menu 's because it makes too expensive and tape over it makes menus look ugly. (Personally id rather be notified of receipt of prices) And ended up using better quality than other restaurants and then FINALLY an insincere apology. I will end with it, other restaurant have exact prices on cocktail and food menus. So I think I'm going to go to these facilities from now on. Will never be back."

"Our server, Brook, took our order in a timely manner. We requested our drinks without ice, and while she got mine right, my husband's drink came with a full glass of ice. She promptly took it back to fix it. During our meal, she checked on us only once after bringing our food. When we asked for the bill, we also requested the military discount. We paid with a gift card and $20 cash to cover the remaining balance. However, when she returned with our change, she only brought two $5 bills, while our expected change was $10.55. Noticing the discrepancy, we asked another waitress in the area to call Brook back to our table. When Brook arrived, the other waitress was still present. Upon explaining that we were expecting the additional 55 cents, Brook reacted defensively, questioning why we wanted the small amount while standing right in front of us. In hindsight, we should have involved the manager at that moment. It felt as though she had taken the 55 cents from us. According to our receipt, she should have returned the full amount of change and allowed us the option to let her keep it. Initially, we intended to leave an $11 tip; however, after discovering the incorrect change and experiencing her attitude, we reduced our tip to $1.55. We have since addressed this issue with the manager. Having worked in the service industry myself, I understand how challenging it can be, and I usually tip well. However, I have always ensured to return the correct change to customers. In my opinion, failing to do so would amount to taking from the customer."

"I finally started eating here again trying to support the local businesses in my neighborhood. I've always felt that for the money this place usually disappoints. But I tried to look past that and consider the time that it saves me from driving to another place they probably have similar food that might be just a little better. First of all I'd like to start off on a positive note, I do enjoy the large size mason jars that are used for the ice tea and other beverages that are so dear by the glass. The water and tea come with free refills. And now most soft drinks are sold by the can. When you drink order arrives, it usually comes with a complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are crispy, a bit dense, and a little on the more golden side. Although the salsa is a bit watery, it is somewhat tasty. Now there may be two or more reasons why you might come here but the primary ones will be either for breakfast tacos on the go or perhaps a sit down lunch meal. Like most of the other Mexican restaurants around town, they do have a three taco special in the morning although this place only has a very limited selection including bean and egg, ham and egg, and potato and egg. 3x$3.75 or $4. I've gotten the ham and egg before and find them a bit juicy as the ham is the typical luncheon meat cooked ham you find mostly all around town. The bean and egg are not cooked together rather added along side which I dislike and the others are fine. Most of the other tacos run from $1.50-$1.99 and the breakfast plates start off at $5.50. I find the egg and chicharrón plate to be the best value and the barbacoa taco at $2.50 to be a winner. The menudo is fair. The caldo de res was a disappointment when I got it. I thought that for sure, since it was the weekend, that a fresh batch would be available. Although I come to find out that I was giving what tasted like an old slightly fermented/sour broth with recently boiled potatoes added to it that totally lacked any kind of flavor from the meat or the broth. The meat was also a decent cut of shank, although the texture felt like it was also cooked separately due to the lack of tenderness. The lunch plates start off around $6.99 and are identical to what you would find all around town. I'm convinced that they all get the same ingredients from Sysco or something. Probably the biggest complaint that I have about this place and I forgot to mention it about the breakfast tacos is that they seem to use the typical flour tortillas used in the main stream places rather than the more authentic texture ones used at most places in town. This was very surprising. They do have a lunch special that ranges from $7.50 to $8.50. M-F. The lunch is no frills or thrills. Other than convenience, there is nothing that would make me come back to this place to eat. Ambiance 3/5 Food 2/5 Price 2/5 Service 2/5"
