"Ultimately, it comes down to personal interpretation of what New York-style pizza should be. For me, it’s all about the crust having a distinct flavor and being thin toward the center. A good New York pizza must also have plenty of cheese and high-quality pepperoni. The sauce is what really sets it apart from other pizzas; it should have a certain sweetness without overpowering garlic flavor. If I wanted a garlic sauce, I would have ordered one. I’m not particularly fond of garlic, even though I know it has some health benefits; I just don’t think it belongs on a New York-style pizza. Unfortunately, the sauce they used was too garlicky for my taste. I genuinely wanted to give them a five-star review because the service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and I appreciate supporting independent owners. The pizza itself wasn’t bad, but it was too far removed from what I believe New York-style should be. Clearly, many people love it; the pizzeria has received plenty of five-star ratings, and I respect those who enjoy their garlic-filled sauce. However, it just isn’t for me. Did I perhaps receive a different type of sauce by mistake? Are there options, such as Grandma's slices, that might have a different sauce? This would be the only reason I’d consider trying this pizzeria again. If the owner could clarify this for me, I’d appreciate it. While I commend his efforts, if this is the only sauce available, I’ll have to pass on a return visit."

"This restaurant can look like an average neighborhood food spot from outside, but that is not the case! My wife and I were often here and met with three friends on a late Sunday afternoon, and was immediately greeted by the great staff and incredible ambience, with the sun shimmering deep through the windows above the entrance door when it was located. The food is phenomenal! Simple in presentation and great complexity in taste. We ordered the wings to share: one with the house sauce the other with the Habanero. He was great! They had these Parmesan deaths on their restaurant week menu, and it is amazing the taste bud party can be formed from the combination of potatoes like small barrels with unpasteurized milk that makes your day. I decided to try the MB Cheese Steak as I regularly order a burger when we go, and was not disappointed. They use tri-tip for their meat and it feels almost as if you are back east with one in downtown Philly. My wife ordered the Carbonada Criolla stew (something different for her) and let me tell you; Words cannot explain the euphoria I encounter in tasting this masterpiece. You must try it yourself. One of our friends ordered the Jerk Chicken (denders with big spices), her husband ordered The Mother Of All Burgers and it is definitely not for one who is bigger than her stomach. The last friend ordered the Crown Burger. I never had it before, but really thought it together with the cheese steak as my 1 2, when we go. It has the burger with corn beef, Swiss cheese, thousand Iceland dressing, and red pickled cabbage on a brioche bungalow. Great! After all, our waitress Hayley was from this world! Definitely the icing on the cake! As I said, don't let the apparitions fool you! The Kurb appeal may appear regular everyday brick construction, but the food, people and vibe are fantastic! Perfect for groups or occasional lazy Sunday afternoon. Look at it!"
