"Racist and discriminatory behavior by owner...My family went here recently for my father 's birthday. My mom called twice a few days prior trying to make a reservation for 20 people and asked if she could bring a cake. Both times the receptionist (who is family with the owner) said they don 't take reservations but could do a walk in and she could bring a cake. (Already poor restaurant management experience bc who in their right mind says a 20 top walk in is ok lol) anyway...on the day of my mom called 15 minutes before my family was set to arrive just to confirm for a third time that they were good to walk in as a 20 top and was transferred to the owner who said ABSOLUTELY NOT and that they better not come by the restaurant. Frantically my mom and family tried to figure out where to go for my dad 's birthday with 20 people waiting to figure out the new plan. After calling multiple restaurants who said they couldn 't take a large group last minute (obviously), they decided to try to go to this restaurant and just get multiple smaller tables at varying times in an effort to help out and not inundate the waitstaff and kitchen at the same time. Upon arrival the owner yelled at my mom and told her again ABSOLUTELY NOT and that he told her to stay away. He then said that it was impossible the receptionist during the week told her it was ok to walk in as a 20 top bc it is his family (lol). He then said in front of my entire family and in the most rude and degrading tone possible: IT IS BECAUSE OF YOUR ACCENT THEY DON 'T UNDERSTAND YOU. My mom is Brasilian and has lived in the US for 30 years and has nearly perfected her English during that time...she was embarrassed and felt incredibly disrespected by this little man. You would think after the restaurant having struggled through the pandemic there would be some sense of humility. But alas- true colors always shine through. Long story short: discriminatory, racist, rude, and overall poor restaurant management by the owner From one Italian (me) to another (this restaurant 's owner): VAFFANCULO"

"Decided to go to peddlers Village to see the gingerbread house display and Christmas lights. Stopped in Doylestown for dinner, discovered the water wheel Tavern, and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the French onion soup the taste was amazing. The cocktails were very well made and the meal was excellent. The french fries could’ve been a little warmer, but I don’t think they would lose a star for them. Can’t wait for warmer weather so we can sit outside, we will be back."

"This place is small and quite basic, but it offers a great selection of frozen mock meats. They also have a unique variety of dried tofu in different shapes that are hard to find elsewhere. There is street parking available, but since it's near a residential area, you can easily find free parking just a block away if you prefer not to pay. I believe they have a good mail-order service as well. The staff member I spoke with was very helpful when I inquired about the vegan options, although I do wish they offered more vegan chicken choices. Overall, I found the prices to be reasonable, similar to what other vegetarian restaurants tend to charge for mock meats."

"Really happy I listened to my hubby to come and try this place. We made it a point to try all the local seafood joints/shacks in the Point Lookout/Oceanside/Long Beach area. I was a little hesitant at first cause we weren 't sure how the seating would work and it was getting a little chilly. We first went to Point Lookout Clam Bar which is what we wanted to try initially but all the seats were outdoor. The set-up and view was beautiful as you can see in my picture but we preferred to sit indoors. Total non-issue as the host informed us that Fisherman 's Catch is owned by the same person and the menu is exactly the same. (Yay! So I 'm assuming due to Covid there was minimal table service which was fine. The procedure once you enter is to seat yourself, look over the menu and then go to the bar to order. Seating was perfect as we were there before 5pm and had the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves and we picked the loveliest seat by the window with a spectacular view. The bartender was very helpful was all our inquiries of the menu and ordering was easy. She even let us try some of the draft beer before we ordered as we never had them before. (thank you The food came really quickly. Everything was delicious! My family is self proclaimed seafood fanatics and we loved everything we ordered. The lobster bisque is excellent (no picture as my younger one finished it too quickly. Her only one complaint was that she wanted oyster crackers to accompany the soup. The steamers had a nice sweet aftertaste and my husband kept raving about how fresh they are. Yum! My older one complained when I ordered the grilled calamari claiming that she doesn 't like grilled calamari but once she tried it, she kept raving about how that 's that 's the best grilled calamari she 's ever had! From a previous review, someone mentioned the lobster roll being filled with imitation lobster. This is NOT the case and I checked with the bartender before I ordered as well. The ingredients are all fresh lobster and it tasted delicious. My husband ordered the fried scallops and he enjoyed them very much. The main dishes both came with fries that my family loved as they were thin and crispy. My kids shared the lobster sauce pasta and there were huge pieces of lobster inside the creamy sauce. Also due to Covid I 'm assuming, everything came out on disposable plates. Everything was excellent. So far on our journey to try all the local seafood joints, this venue is definitely at the top of our list so far. It definitely beats out the seafood shack in Oceanside that has the most ratings on Yelp. That one is not bad but this place exceeded our expectation. My kids wants to put their two cents in and said mommy, make sure to give them 5 stars on Yelp . Guess it 's family approved and will be one of our fave local joints from now on. There really weren 't too many customers. Only two other tables showed up when we left but it was really early. No one outside at all. Please support your local eateries especially the delicious ones so they can survive during these difficult times. Thank you for the great service and for being so welcoming when we arrived."

"Entirely disappointed in this dining experience. Our Valentines Day Reservation was for and right off the bat, we waited or minutes for a server to come by before going back to alert the hostess. He arrived shortly afterward and redeemed himself by being quite helpful despite the negative first impression. My first course smoked portabello appetizer was so tiny that my husband and I laughed about it.... literally what appeared to be of a very small portabello (so, a chunk) with some scattered watercress greens and a small dollop of balsamic – infused caviar. I joked to our server about the kitchen running out of portobello, and he noted that it had been a very busy night, but did not deny it. Hubby’s corn chowder app was good. Second course wedge salads were thankfully good. Then, minutes before our main course was to be served, we were informed that they ran out of the NY Strip steak (one of only three meal options, due to the prix fixe menu) and would my husband like fish or chicken. After an emphatic “No, I really wanted the steak” our server went back to the kitchen and came back to say they’d found him a tenderloin they agreed to substitute. It was good, but arrived rare instead of med-rare and needed to be sent back and cooked up. My airline chicken breast was not good — no trace of the Brie that was supposed to be inside and terribly dried out. Definitely overcooked. While the side dishes were good, they were disappointingly the highlight of my meal instead of the main course. Although we appreciated the tenderloin substitution, it was hard to justify paying per person, before drinks, for what we received on what was supposed to be a special occasion. I doubt we will return — and definitely never again on Valentines Day"

"This place wasn't so bad before, but the past year, and this evening in particular, have been just awful. Servers get confused when you order at your table on your phone which, you are supposed to do . The food tastes like it's been trucked in frozen and warmed up. $20 sandwich that tasted like nothing but salt. $5 side order ! of fries that were supposed to have some kind of spicy seasoning just tasted like tons of salt as well. You order your own food and walk up to the bar to get your food and have to get up and ask for your own drinks, but yet there is a tipping option?? For what?? You do not get tipped because you showed up to work today."

"We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while so tonight we did for a early birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening it wasn't busy so we figured we would get fast service but that was not the case we arrived at 6:20pm we didn't leave until 8:25 not because we wanted to but because our waiter took so long bringing our drinks then appetizers then our main courses the food and drinks were good but not for the price, too much ice in the drinks I figured to make it look like your getting more drink than you really are and their bread pudding was awful that was not bread pudding it was a chocolate cinnamon mush with caramel don't think it was worth 250 for 3 people. We don't mind paying for great food drinks but there needs to be great service as well. So disappointed with this restaurant I really wanted to like it because it is so close to home."

"To be fair, there were some BIG groups there when we went yesterday at 4:30. So of course that would put more on the staff when it comes to getting your drinks or food out faster. So that didn't factor into my review. The drink menu is amazing. Can I just stay here all week and sample them all? My son had a Pear Sage Sour (B21 apple-pear infused gin, lemon, honey and sage) and I had a Southern Spring Mule (B21 white tail bourbon, homemade apricot liqueur, homemade ginger liqueur, lemon and fresh mint). For dinner, he had the chislic poutine (a refined edge to a major comfort food) and I had the pear salad. Both were amazing. Definitely making this our lunch or dinner spot when I come out to visit."

"Surprisingly wonderful. We sat in the bar to watch some football. The bartender was slammed with a big family group ordering rounds of drinks and lots of food. We didn't mind waiting. She had 3 runners helping her get food out of the kitchen and they were able to get us a few things we needed... bleu cheese dressing, extra napkins, etc. The food was served hot and was delicious. My husband ordered Buffalo Hot Wings. He loved them. I ordered the Bruschetta. A bit disappointed. They tasted good but portions were small and croutons over toasted. Not worth $15.00 I ordered the garden salad. It was just OK. The Cesar salad was much better. The California Vegetable Pasta was amazing. I ordered it with the Alfredo sauce. It was hot and loaded with fresh vegetables and grilled chicken. My husband ordered the Penne Pasta Rustica. It was wonderful-loaded with bacon, shrimp, bacon...hot out of the oven with a delicious sauce. The restaurant/hotel is beautiful. It's a little oasis in the middle of HWY 5. We'll be back! P. S. We didn't order the pizza but they looked great!"

"We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at Cafe 22 last night and couldn’t have been happier! The service was excellent, and the staff were so kind when we shared that we chose their restaurant for our special day. Their bottled lemonade is fantastic! Although I don’t know the manager’s name, he and Janet were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the salmon cakes with collard greens and mac and cheese, as well as the chicken and waffles—both were delicious treats! We brought a lovely bottle of wine that we bought just across the street. The restaurant holds an A rating, and while the décor could use a bit of a refresh, it’s definitely worth the trip uptown! P.S. The bottled lemonade is amazing!"

"This is not your average hotel restaurant! The Celeste Hotel itself is a sight to behold. Nestled right on the main floor of the hotel is this amazing restaurant! They continue to refined space theme throughout, and the details are just spectacular. Weonly had the opportunity to have breakfast here each day, but I 'm sure the other meals are equally as good. The food was suchhigh quality, with fresh ingredients and complex flavor combinations. The Cinnamon Brioche French Toast Sticks literally Melt inyour mouth! The granola parfait was topped with a piece of actual honeycomb. Aurora understands the concept of eating with youreyes first, and their presentation is top notch. Other offerings in the immediate area really can 't compete with Aurora on anylevel. The value for money was pretty impressive for a hotel restaurant, and the staff were all so friendly and eager to providethe best hospitality possible. Excellent experience here!!"

"I have never had such a terrible dining experience and there was only one other family there! The waitress was so rude. When we asked about non alcoholic options she just said No we can 't do that. Our reservation was at 6pm, there was 5 of us, and we did not get our food until after 7pm. Again, only one other family in the entire place. One of our party ordered medium rare steak and received a well done steak and by then it was too late to ask for another one (and potentially another hour of waiting) and so we just shared our meals with her and they did not even comp the over $35 steak. The restaurant is in the lobby of a hotel and there will be people running around with their shoes off, just a heads up if that is not your thing. Felt like a worst version of Applebees with triple the price and worse food."

"The avena de coco is phenomenal the rest of The food was just ok. The service was terrible. Took 35 minutes to get our check, and it wasn’t even our original server. My dad asked for a different mug for his coffee, he wanted black coffee the second time he originally had cafe con leche), but everyone just turned away and said no. I’m assuming it was because he had to pay which we were totally ok with), but they flat out said no and had thee worst attitude in life. There should be more urgency in checking people out so the line isn’t out of the door for a table. This place has soooo much potential, but definitely need to do some staff training."

"my husband surprises me and made reservations here for us on Valentine's Day. it was so delicious. this is one of our new favorite spots and if they are in the opposite, try after a new restaurant, I hope they are over. starting with our appetizer, we ordered the traditional trio. calamari, cajun popcorn shrimp and crab cakes. everything tasted so amazing and fresh. I was very surprised! before this night were my man and I were not a big fan of crab cakes, but now we are. the cajun popcorn shrimp was spiced to perfection and to calamari. Next are our entries! my husband ordered the steak and lobster- 6 ounces. petite filet medium rare and 6 ounces. lobster tail, garlauch kartoffeln, sweet marchand d’Vin drawn butter. he loved every bit! no complaining anything. I ordered the atlantic salmon, grilled with spinach and garlic carrots. the sauce in which the laugh was was very good. the spinach was fresh as well as the carrots. everything was literally amazing. next and finally. is even better than to tremble on the cake. dessert! omg, let me begin with that it was absolutely amazing. did they not know that eating delicious food can give them an orgasm? eat them at scott's and get them their today! I ordered the white chocolate cheesecake. I enjoyed every crazy bite! I really had no place after my evening, but I couldn't even waste a bite. my husband ordered the brotpudding bananas foster, which is made with dreyers vanilla ice cream, sauce and golden raisins. it had no low points. everything was made perfect and we went to home extremely full. I enjoyed myself here in the scott’s restaurant as a whole. a very friendly gentleman played the piano for most of our time there and hear his music brought us memories of the piano sound effects on our favorite cartoon childhood, tom jerry. Some nights are jazz club nights and I will definitely eat again in the near future here. if you are here, visit the bay area and want to visit a restaurant on a place that is not too crowded and packed, visit them scott 's seafood restaurant in walnut creek, ca. the food and desserts are spectacular and I recommend them 100%They also have jazz brunch on Sunday 's! watch it!"
