"I want to start by saying that I spent my first 25 years living in New York, so I know what a good bagel should taste like. Unfortunately, what I encountered here were not bagels. They may look like bagels, but they are merely bread shaped like bagels. The flavor reminded me of slightly undercooked, dense white bread. I genuinely wanted to enjoy them, but there was nothing about them that appealed to me. It pains me to criticize a locally-owned business, but spending $54 on two dozen sliced bagels—especially when they charge an extra 10 cents per bagel for slicing—only to receive something inferior to what you can get at Costco, warrants a poor review."
