"Went here for lunch one recent weekday. Only a couple of other customers, mostly picking up takeout orders so no waiting. Food came out really quickly. The pho is decent, I thought that the broth tasted homemade but is not the super flavorful kind that makes you want to drink the bowl dry. The noodles were somewhat stuck together in a few clumps because they were pre-cooked. Something not tasty about the rice noodles themselves like they were old or or cheap quality. Meats were OK but nothing special. I will probably go to one of the many other places in the area next time."

"This is my favorite spot for lunch, especially when I'm in the mood for a quiche or a delicious caprese panini (they actually use basil instead of spinach). For a morning treat, their cappuccino is fantastic—though honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, particularly the brioche, cheese Danish, or any of the sweets in the display case on the left. Collet also creates specialty cakes that are absolutely amazing. One year, she made me an éclair cake, and this year, I tried a cake that’s a delightful blend between a tart and strawberry shortcake (I had her add blueberries). Everything here is simply delicious!"

"First and foremost, I don't believe the dining experience justifies a 20% gratuity. The ambiance, cutlery, and service left much to be desired. Considering its location in downtown Millburn, the atmosphere was quite disappointing. The dining cutlery was also quite basic. On the positive side, the food was flavorful and the service was good. However, the portion sizes are questionable. For example, the chicken shawarma appetizer consists mostly of one pita and hummus, with a minimal amount of chicken, priced at $14. Overall, it's suitable for takeout, but I don't think it offers good value for money."

"Beautiful building. Clearly used to be a church. Service was pretty good for the most part. And the food was delectable. Big glass windows let in lots of light making photos of the food incredible looking. Parking wasn't too difficult to find even on the streets. My only negative here was that the restaurant staff decided to hurriedly encourage everyone to leave early the day before Labor Day, by blasting music for a good 15 seconds at 1:50pm. Closing time was 2pm. It was so loud that it scared everyone in the dining room and those seated outdoors too. It wasn't initially clear that the staff was responsible for this, until everyone looked at the kitchen and notice a bunch of giggles and chortles. If folks are so unhappy about working the day before Labor Day, they should either take the day off or encourage their managers to shut the restaurant down. Or just walk over to each table and tell them that you're about to shut down (like adults). Lots of people left immediately after that music blast. Honestly kind of ruined the entire experience."

"Me and my friends had the WORST experience in this place. We waited an hour for our food to come out. When it came out most of the things were cold and packed to-go. We wanted to stay and eat at the restaurant but the server basically kicked us out 30 minutes before closing because she “had to take the chair in and close up”. She said she didn’t get payed to stay after closing so she kicked us out. The pasta that I ordered had NO pasta, only the sauce, they told us it was a mistake from the cook. They just added cold pasta after I made the claim. Again, the service was terrible. After we had our food packed up we had to sit across the street. By the time we finished up, the tables of the restaurant were still out… I payed $17 to get a dry packed up sandwich. Anyway, horrible experience. Don’t waste time and money eating here, there are better places in the city."

"I ordered Uber eats as soon as I realized this place served the French Napoleon pastries. I cried a little as I ate it. I had not had one in 16 years since I went to Cali/Nevada to the casinos on my 21st birthday. You cannot get them in the south, trust me I have tried to even have them shipped by cold train in the fridge section. Where this lady who went to school for French pastries and more baked on the first floor in the bakery. Le Macaron went above and beyond because they did not give me both of them so the owner when I called them up. A very sweet lady drove to my house and hand delivered them. They pastries are grand and you should get them any time you can."

"Belle Epicurean has really good, buttery, flaky, fresh croissants plus lots of other amazing-looking pastries that I have yet to try (but trust me, I'll be back). We brought home a sampling of macarons as well. I wasn't too excited, mostly because the flavors on this particular day didn't entice me. I think we got vanilla, honey, mocha, pistachio, raspberry, and strawberry...so, good flavors but not particularly exotic. I had the honey one and it was SUBLIME. Moreover, the filling was so fresh and creamy and dare I say one of the tastiest macarons I have ever eaten. Well done!"

"Sososososo tasty ? the breakfast sandwiches were soooo good we got the beet avocado egg and ughhh it was soooo good and I don’t even like beets,,, I got the Paris sandwich with kimchi AND YOU HAVE TO GET IT IT WAS SO GOOD. I could eat a million of those. Great pasterys too they warmed it up and it was soooo flaky and delicious. 100/10 I love it. Also the guy was so nice even though I was weird when ordering and paused a lot"

"I can personally tell you if you got sick from this place, that they will smoke bacon with mold, they will still use vegetables that are two weeks old and perished, they will still cut a vegetable with visible mold on it and serve to customers, they will pickle molded jalapenos, and their oil that they advertise as beef tallow will sometimes be pork laard. Every employee is aware of this. These claims are not false by any means. To the owner, there's a reason you are under investigation by the Indiana Department of Labor. Lie all you want, the truth will come out. And you threatened me and threw my check on the ground. You're karma is coming. The reason they had to shut down last year is because all of his employees quit. This man is a child, the local bars in Ft. Square already know about his reputation, ask them if you think this is false. Also, already knew I was quitting and had a better paying job lined up. I do have a great resume."

"My breakfast croissant was buttery, flaky, and delicious. This has to be the best place in DC for a croissant, just like the sign says (it's what lured me in.... . Iced latte could have used more coffee and a lot less milk, but that's my only issue. I'm already planning my next visit...."

"We tried the Prosciutto Croissants, Nutella Bombolone (an Italian donut), and the potato pizza. The Prosciutto Croissants were absolutely amazing—the buttery flakiness of the croissant was heavenly. The Nutella Bombolone was good but not the best I've ever had; it had a lot of bread compared to the amount of Nutella that came with it. The potato pizza was decent, but nothing to rave about. Maybe it would have tasted better if we had eaten it right after it was heated, as it lacked a strong flavor. We also ordered coffee to go. The coffee was pretty standard—nothing fancy—so don’t expect the variety you might find at a regular coffee shop; they only had Mocha as an option for flavoring. During our first visit, they didn’t have ice cream available to make iced coffee. The seating inside is limited, with a few high tables that accommodate 4-6 people, but there are some tables outside for additional seating. Overall, I would definitely recommend this bakery!"
