"As my parents are from Paraguay, I grew up with mate cocido, yerba mate, empanadas, and chipa. I introduced my own children to these flavors as well. Recently, I hadn't been able to recreate these dishes myself, but this little gem of a restaurant brought back all the memories and flavors for me. What made the experience even more special was having one of my children with me. We spent the afternoon enjoying delicious food, sipping on refreshing tereré, and reminiscing about traditional Paraguayan cuisine and my mother's kitchen. The nanduti tapestries and lace paintings that adorned the walls added a wonderful touch to the atmosphere."
