"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"We dined at this restaurant on a busy Saturday night during peak dining hours. Our order included the cutting board, duck ravioli, gnocchi, maple glazed brussels sprouts, apple strudel, and ricotta cheesecake. Unfortunately, we found each dish to be underwhelming considering the high price. The meats on the cutting board were fresh but lacked balance without cheese. The pasta dishes were bland compared to other Italian restaurants in NYC. The maple glazed brussels sprouts had a strong vinegar taste and lacked any maple flavor. The desserts were decent but did not have a "wow" factor. However, the wine was reasonably priced by the bottle. On top of the mediocre food, our entrees took about an hour to be served."

"Typical Wisconsin family restaurant. The server was great. However, the prime rib was severely overcooked, and there was a hair in the dish containing the poached eggs. The restaurant generously took 10% off our bill for an inedible breakfast... Definitely will not"

"We made a reservation for 5 people at 8.30pm. When we arrived at 8.30pm sharp we asked for a table outside (plenty available , but in stead we were almost forced to dine inside. Only after repeated requests, we were taken to a table outside. Than we were told that the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes and we had to order everything at once. Not a very pleasant start for a dinner. When all food was deleived, they missed 4 dishes(! . The waittress said she had delivered those mistakenly to a wrong table. We were still hungry so she offered free desserts in stead which we accepted. We were not even finished with the desserts as we were already presented with the check. This included the 4 dishes which we did not receive! When we said something about that the waittress answered almost angry that we had received the desserts for free, right? Which we obviously replied that they were offered for free due to the mistake she made... After some further discussion, these were eventually taken off the check. When we left there was nobody saying thank you or goodbye. Bad service, average food."

"Kicking myself for not going here sooner! One of my favorite quick comfort meals is lemon rice soup and Greek salad. Called it in, it was ready when I got there, and the gentleman working the register (I think he may have been the owner? was so kind and friendly. "The food, beverages and service were excellent, and our table in the back looked into the garden...too bad it was a little chilly to dine outside. The only drawback was the noise level as there does not appear to be any soft surfaces to reduce the noise. We were seated next to a table of 6 or 7 and they were having lively conversation with lots of laughs. Nice folks but we were not unhappy when they finished. Reina was a good value and we'll go again when we come back to Frederic."

"My husband and I had some difficulty locating this restaurant since it's hidden away in a business complex. We ordered several rolls, including spicy tuna crispy rice, YTJ, Shiso special, tuna shishito, Rainbow, 911, pressed toro, Marilyn monroll, and naked salmon. For our anniversary dinner, we spent over $200 but were let down by the average quality of the sushi. Despite my adventurous taste in sushi, I've had much better at lower prices elsewhere. Additionally, the lack of ambiance in the outdoor dining area at night was disappointing. The service was good, with friendly staff recommending popular dishes, but overall, we won’t be coming back to this restaurant."

"Delicious and attentive service! We arrived yesterday evening around 6:30 and were seated in less than half an hour as a party of four. While we waited in the bar area, a waitress took our drink orders, which made the wait feel quick. We all tried the red Sangria and the falling Sangria—both were delicious and served in mason jars (very sweet!). For appetizers, we had the Buff-Kisse, which was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It was incredibly creamy and the chips were sturdy enough not to break while scooping it up. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was to die for—a must-try when you're here. The other ladies in my party had the fish and chips, the Kick Brokk Alfredo, and the Buff Mac n Cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and there were no leftovers or complaints. I don't understand any negative reviews because the food is absolutely fantastic!"

"We tried the Avenue Club for dinner Monday night. We had never been there before and were initially delighted by our experience. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who welcomed us to the restaurant, gave us menus, and told us about 1/2 price appetizers and cocktails all day. We started getting excited as we looked thru the drink menu and saw the variety of Old Fashioned they offered. The appetizer menu also looked intriguing with a relish tray, onion dip, fried pickles and more. The atmosphere was modern, clean, airy, and seems like a great place to hang out for drinks. Our waitress arrived. She was fun, perky, and helpful. We each ordered an Old Fashioned derivative. We also ordered the Whitefish Spread and Cheese Curds to start. Our drinks came out and they were delicious. Certainly Old Fashioned but with twists. Our waitress was great about checking on us and making sure we had everything we wanted. When the Whitefish came out, it looked pretty cool. A mound of whitefish on a tray with Ritz crackers, radishes, and toasted bread. Unfortunately it was basically a cold, flavorless, grainy mash. We had tried whitefish spread recently at Everly and loved it. This sadly, was not at all similar. I did like the presentation and the price was great, but it was not particularly tasty. Very disappointing. The cheese-curds also had an interesting presentation. They looked like giant tater-tots. Unfortunately, again the flavor did not live up to the appearance. Wisconsin is known for their cheese-curds, but these just didn't have the flavor of texture. I did appreciate that they were different, but unfortunately in this case different was worse. For dinner we had the Walleye and the Mussels with Fries. The walleye itself was delicious but it was served with a pumpkin puree which didn't pare well. The mussels were also delicious. The broth was rich and salty and I drank it down. It was served with a chunk of thick crusty bread. The fries were a let-down. They were not particularly crispy and kind of clumped together. In general we loved the atmosphere, we loved the service, we loved the drinks and we loved the value. Unfortunately several of the dishes just weren't up to the rest of the experience. I wouldn't refuse to go back, but it won't be on the top of my list."

"Wasnt happy with the changed Menu offered where we are staying so we stopped in for a menu to see what they offered and YAHOO! REAL food we were happy with!! Their American and Italian Menu was for EVERYONE, including kids. Their house salad offered the Field Greens, (which we love), cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onion, croutons and FRESH grated cheese! Majority of other restaurants ONLY offer Specialty Salads. The Chicken Parmesan was tender and delicious. Their Fish Sandwich on a Brioche Bun was toasted just right, was lightly fried (some places over fry) with lettuce and tomato and their French Fries were crispy on the outside and tender inside, not undercooked and limp like other restaurants we tried. They have our business for the rest of our summer instead of where we're staying!"

"The food was excellent, and our waitress was very pleasant. The restaurant was quite crowded, so I understand that the staff has to work hard, which can be stressful for them. To our surprise, our food arrived faster than expected, which was a nice touch. However, our experience was marred by the hostess. From the moment we walked in, she was extremely rude. When I misunderstood her question and told her there were only two of us, she yelled at us. Later, when we approached the checkout area thinking we were at the right place to pay, she harshly informed us that we needed to pay our waitress instead. I also overheard her complaining about her job to other customers, expressing how excited she was for her lunch break. Someone with such an attitude should not be working in a customer service role. I've had jobs dealing with the public, and I would never treat customers the way she treated us or others entering the restaurant. When I return to this place, I hope to either not encounter her again or to see an improvement in her demeanor."

"here on a walk in providence. the waitress was so rude that I felt compelled to write that. the place was guided by the titled children who did not care for their job. the waitress treated us like an inconvenience. she has our order not for 20 min. We were going to leave us again and again, and she sighed with disapproval when I ordered two beer and coffee. they fell rudely a beer not two beers as I ordered) on our table when we were not looking and lastly charged us $30 for 1 beer and two coffees. the police also stopped to attack a customer complaint. I can't imagine what it was about."

"I have visited this restaurant numerous times and always enjoyed the food. However, during our last visit for dinner, we experienced some frustration. We waited patiently at our table while the bartender appeared to be busy chatting with patrons and doing tasks like cleaning dishes. After a few minutes of being ignored without any acknowledgment, we decided to leave. Although I have recommended this place in the past, I will no longer do so."

"You left the extra mile! Not often wait employees go out of the way, but our staff at the Ground Round went beyond our expectations. The food was delicious, but was overtaken by the staff. I've never been on duty as I had tonight and I'll definitely come back. Had the chickens tortilla soup and the extraordinary chocolate spoon cake. Forget to make a photo of the cake, what was it worth saving space!"

"We decided to have Christmas dinner out, wrong choice. The food was so so. Nothing that I would ever want again. Our waiter seem to disappear a lot even though not many people were there. The tall waiter with his hair in ponytail was very helpful though he even made Greek dressing for me). Someone on the staff called the day prior but failed to mention they had a limited menu. Asked a few tables and they were not told either. The only highlight was the pita bread."

"Always a great experience every time we go. All waiters are wonderful people. We were so often that I can't even count. We dindicate and run orders and have never been dissatisfied with the service or food. Our number one favorite dish is the ****. We'll get it at least once a month. If my fiancé or I don't feel comfortable, that's what we always order. So many of their dishes are comforting. Favourite breakfast for me is the banana berries french toast. The prices are also great! This is our favorite place! If you ever look at the menu and you see “fresh fruits” this is not like you get most places. They actually give you fruit not fruit cocktail! Thus the fruit is a wedge of cantaloupe, watermelon and grapes still on the vine. If you've never been here, just try."

"Our server was just plain not a good server. She never actually told us her name. She had black hair somewhat curly, I believe began with an S. We had to ask for bread three times. Finally got it at the end of our meal. Our server didn’t bring out our food. So they just auctioned off food, this is just not the way I expect my food served unless I go to like McDonald’s. Drinks were empty, not refilled. We had to attempt to flag them down multiple times. But the table next to us. It’s was wiped 5 times and no one ever say at it the whole time we were there. We were one of the only two tables outside. So we were VERY disappointed, especially since I’ve only heard good things. If it wasn’t Christmas and since I have heart. She’s lucky she got a tip. Cause I considered not tipping. Tipping means proper service and that is not what we received."
