The second attempt at my eggs resulted in them being fried until they were rock-hard. I informed the waitress that I wouldn’t eat them and refused to pay for them as well. Instead of taking accountability, she went to talk to the manager. He didn't come over to apologize or try to rectify the situation; instead, he instructed her to take all the food away and present me with my son’s bill.
To make matters worse, when I went to the register to pay and waited for him to address the issue—considering it was off-peak hours, so the place wasn’t busy—he had the nerve to ask if our meal was okay and if I wanted to leave a tip on the receipt. Seriously?
This manager was completely unqualified for his position, and it's clear that a better establishment would never have hired him. It leads me to the conclusion that Denny's is a subpar restaurant. Save yourself the trouble and either opt for Cracker Barrel or just cook at home."
