"Customer service was okay, not great, not bad. Food was just okay, not very flavorful. I just tasted salt mostly. We ordered the seafood risotto, I think that was supposed to be the best dish we ordered that night, but I wasn't impressed at all. It tasted like the shrimp and scallop soup we had for the appetizer, but with rice. We also tried the meat loaf, which people on Yelp raved about. To be honest, I did not like it even with an open mind; I could not like it. I mean... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It tasted kind of like regular hamburger meat from Carl's Jr. to me. My first time having meat loaf. I did like the sliders and the fries we ordered for appetizer, though. That dinner was pricey, too. I won't be coming back"

"We arrived 5 minutes early and they told us they would seat us immediately. However the hostess that we were assigned decided to seat another couple that came in after us. Once finally seated we did not receive our first waiter visit and water glasses for 35 minutes, it was like we were being ignored. The people that came in behind us had their food before we even were served our water. No one ever returned to take out order so at 1 hour and 5 minutes waiting we decided to leave, we spoke to one of the hostes who asked us to try again. We choose not to, we are disappointed as the place came with great reviews."

"The food simply was not good. Ordered chicken Marsalis, it was tough and chewy taste was lacking and pasta was about 3 cups of flavorless pasta. No one complains about being overserved, but it made fo a very unattractive, unbalanced dish."

"The food was fantastic! I ordered the Cajun mac and cheese with chicken, while my friend chose the Bourbon Street chicken. Both dishes were delicious. The only downside was with the Bourbon Street chicken, which was served as a sandwich; unfortunately, the juices from the chicken made the bread too soggy to eat comfortably. Other than that, I would rate it an A+. The drink prices were reasonable, and the decor of the place was charming. The bartenders were excellent—friendly and attentive. I didn't have to wait long to place my order, and it arrived fairly quickly. I will definitely be returning! Also, the house pickles were amazing!"

"Our servers Joshua and Erica were outstanding. We had one three course-fried green tomatoes, pork chop (massive), brownie pecan pie, a filet (perfectly cooked and the size of my fist) and the loaded fingerling potatoes. We took what we could not eat home and had a full dinner with the leftovers. The food was 10/10. Excellent dinner here."

"I've been to Oak City Grille twice on a Saturday evening in the past 6 months, once with a group of 4 and the second with a group of 8. Everyone had a great experience both times. The food was EXACTLY what we wanted, the drinks were great and came fast. The place was packed and the music was perfect. Thanks so much!"

"It seems I visited on an off day. I was just looking for a place to relax with a drink after moving back to Virginia and accidentally walked into a private party. Instead of someone kindly informing my friends and me (especially since we didn’t realize the sign said "open" — I would have understood), I was hesitantly served after being ignored for a bit. It felt like the staff thought I might just leave? The welcome was a bit awkward, too. I might give it another shot, but I'm not in a rush to return. Perhaps it just wasn’t the right crowd for me."

"Really wish I could say we loved everything about this place, but we felt like it was just okay. Had an anniversary dinner here while in Nashville for the weekend. We were excited to try the food and celebrate. The food was just okay. There isn't anything we ordered that I would have to go back for. I felt like the prices were high for how the food tasted. By all means the food was good, it just wasn't something I would go back for. I feel like lots of restaurants will also ask if you are celebrating. We weren't asked if it was a special occasion or anything. The service was okay, just like the food. Disappointed in the fact we had chosen this restaurant for a anniversary dinner, because it didn't give us any wow factors. I still think people should eat here and give it a try. Maybe their experience will be better! It just wasn't for us."

"We made a reservation for a regular table, but instead, we were given a bar table, which was quite uncomfortable for my fiancé as he suffers from severe back pain. We were informed that we would need to purchase a $300 bottle to secure a proper table, but we weren't given this option when we made our reservation on OpenTable. Overall, the food was excellent, but we experienced long wait times for service regarding drinks, food, and hookah. Fortunately, things improved as the night went on."

"I make no claim to be a restaurant Critic, but Joyce I are Recreational Eaters and go out to restaurants a lot. This year we went to the Granite Room at the Centennial Hotel in Concord, NH for Valentine 's Day and it was the right choice. I had the Scallops that were listed on the menu simply as a Chef Feature preparation. It was the best meal that I can remember since Corey Fletcher was the Chef at the Colby Hill Inn in Henniker 10 (or more) years ago. And that 's saying a lot. Corey now owns and operates the Revival Kitchen in Concord and we have gone there regularly for many wonderful meals, but this meal at the Granite Room really was a standout. A mélange of Root Vegetables was toped with a row of 6 Scallops. The balance of proportions between the vegetables and the Scallops was just right and the mixture of flavors was unique with each component part contributing equally to the total enjoyment. The only reason I put the Total Experience and Ambiance at 4 stars instead of 5 is the noise level. Although not nearly as bad as many other restaurants, the Granite room does suffer from the standard problem of having too many acoustically hard surfaces and too few absorbing surfaces. Still, better than most. We will be back."
