"The Soul Spot is truly a soulful spot. The curry chicken and black eyed peas were incredibly flavorful and juicy. The fried catfish was some of the best I've ever had. The baked macaroni and cheese was delicious as well, and I loved the half and half. This was my first visit to New York and I definitely want to come back and dine here again. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant, 10/10."

"First time customer and loved everything about my experience. I was meeting my good friend for lunch. I was greeted soon as I walked in. They were very friendly and funny. We both had the two meat plate slice beef and sausage and two sides and Texas toast. I took cut my brisket with my fork very tender. The favor was great and the sauce to me makes the meal and it was spot on. The sausage was good to. So glad I picked this place to have lunch . I told the MGR I wanted to get a review because I know how important they are I’m a business owner myself. You want be disappointed with your meal."

"I took my family out for a nice lunch. We have never had an issue here until today. If I could give ZERO stars for atmosphere I would and I will explain why. While sitting at our table we overhead one of the servers yelling across the restaurant talking about my wife and saying how she was an awful person because my wife is the animal control officer for Havelock city limits. The discussion continued for almost 10 minutes of her just bashing my wife which caused our entire table to be so upset we could not finish our food. It affected us so much that I went to the counter to ask for the manager. It turns out the server bashing and lying about my wife is the current manager on the clock, Lisa. I obviously did not bring it up because she wouldn’t have done anything because she is the one who we were having a problem with. I am beyond disgusted with the treatment we received here. I have never experienced a manager as immature, arrogant, unprofessional, rude, extremely loud, and lack of situational awareness like this before. She does not deserve to have this position for the simple fact she was speaking like this in front of customers. She’s allowed to have her opinion about my wife because that comes with the job as a public servant but to do this in front of customers is not okay. I will be calling later for the next in line supervisor or the owner because this situation needs to be handled correctly."

"This was my first visit to any Famous Dave 's. I walked in on a Tuesday evening through the To Go door- which I might add is a genius idea! You can order at a counter and wait for your food, order online or over the phone and pick it up through this entrance. To the right is the hostess stand for those patrons that will be dining in. Everyone was very pleasant when I walked in. I was greeted by a young man (maybe HS/early college age). He greeted me and asked if he could take my order- when I told him I 've never been here before and was looking for recommendations- he appeared to be excited to share the menu and walk me through the most popular items. I eventually decided on the 2- meat combo (pictured) choosing the Famous Ribs Pulled Pork accompanied by 2 sides (coleslaw mashed potatoes), and all meals finish with a Corned Bread muffin. If you look at the picture you can tell I was eager to jump in prior to taking a picture. The Ribs- the best I 've had in a LONG time- they fell off the bone, were perfectly smoked and could taste in each bite. The pulled pork was cooked very well- with just enough juice, spices, and BBQ sauce. The often forgotten- sides...The coleslaw was a creamy coleslaw- which is my preference and was very good. I 'm not a huge mashed potato fan, but thought I would give them a shot- I was not let down- they were really tasty. Rounding out this incredible meal was one of the better cornbread muffins I 've had. It wasn 't dry at all- very tasty. Overall, if you are in the Waldorf area and are a fan of BBQ I would highly recommend Dave 's Bar-B-Que. I only got a glimpse of the dine-in restaurant, but from what I saw, it looked very clean, well put together, well decorated, and an overall great ambiance for any group of people."

"Avoid this place. Thus is the second time here and I can't find a single redeeming quality that keeps them in business.The food quality and execution has been bad both times we've been here. I ordered a Greek omelet and it was basically a fried scrambled egg disk. no feta, hardly any tomato, and there were potatoes in it for some reason. The coffee is awful and weak, their syrup is noticeably cheap and weird tasting.... the hash browns were under cooked last time I was here my pancakes came to the table twice still raw in the middle. it isn't even that cheap. Run, don't walk, away from here."

"I wanted to give a huge shout out and thank you to our waitress Jenn and manager Brittany. They helped make my moms birthday and 5 year cancer free anniversary extra special by bringing out a nice dessert, some extra magic, and both shared their loved ones cancer stories. It was such a sweet, sentimental and beautiful gesture on both their parts! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such kindness out of restaurant staff before, it really warmed all of our hearts and was the cherry on top of my moms beautiful week visiting us in California all the way from Montreal! "It was a decent place to stop by and eat. The gap in attention to detail is what keeps from return visits. Stopped in and ordered some food and coffee’s. The coffee was sad, ordered pour over coffee and witnessed them ruin it. I’ll just say the staff needs training on preparation of coffee. The food came out to order, the requested condiments did not. Server did not return. Parking is plentiful and there is plenty of room inside and covered patio."

"I recently called in to pick up my order from this restaurant, and the brief interaction I had with the employee was pleasant. She was nice and accommodating. However, what I really want to discuss is the food. After a few bites, my stomach was churning. My husband and I paid over $60 for a meal that we couldn't finish because the food was terrible. The gyro sandwich had paper-thin slices of meat that resembled deli sandwich meat (and not the good kind). The wrap had maybe four pieces of steak, with most of it being tortilla and a few veggies. The Philly cheesesteak was extremely dry, even with the sauce they provided. Overall, the food was disappointing and not worth the price. While the food used to be good, it seems like the restaurant now offers too many varieties of cuisine and struggles to make them taste good. I suggest taking a page from Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and simplifying the menu, focusing on executing dishes well."

"I stopped visiting this gas station a few years ago due to various issues, but after returning, I can truly see how much it has improved. The place is now clean, offers some of the best gas prices in the area, and the staff are friendly. There’s also a great selection of food and dessert options available. Overall, it has a modern vibe. The only downside I noticed is the soda machine, which looks outdated and seems to be at least a decade old. Each drink has its own dispenser, which is a bit unusual. However, this is the only real flaw I could find, and it's not enough to affect my overall positive impression."

"First time going to this store. Ordered a lamb gyro and a 5 pc. Chicken. Unfortunately the gyro fell out of the bag on to the side walk before even reaching the bakery. "I have been missing the food and atmosphere in Waikiki lately, and this place truly brought me back to the relaxing ocean breeze, comfort food, and tropical vibes of Hawaii! I had a lovely time here with my family, and we all loved the food, drinks, and service! Shoutout to Danielle for being such a wonderful server. FOOD Chicken lettuce wraps: These were a bit messy to eat but very good! The lettuce was very fresh and was a great way to start our meal. Papaya salad: We LOVED this dish!! The balance between the greens, papaya, lychee, and macadamia nuts was so delightful and refreshing. Hawaiian Mochiko chicken: The chicken was so tender and well seasoned! The veggies on the side were also great, and my grandma really enjoyed the healthy option. DRINKS Mermaid's Kiss: This drink was refreshing and strong! It wasn't super sweet, which was perfect. Painkiller: This drink was also pretty strong, and I really enjoyed it! Would highly recommend ordering both of these drinks. SERVICE The service here is amazing, and what I was most impressed by is that they knew we would be doing family style rather than having individual entrees. They brought out extra plates for us, no questions asked. It made me feel that the staff here are culturally competent and mindful, and I really appreciated that! Thank you for a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be back!"

"Our appetizers were enjoyable. I ordered a salmon burger while my wife had the grilled chicken. However, my salmon had an odd taste, as if it wasn't fully cooked. My wife's grilled chicken was just mediocre and overloaded with onions. The waiter was attentive and doing a great job. The food took longer to arrive than expected, which was puzzling since the restaurant wasn't busy, especially for Valentine's Day. On a positive note, the outdoor seating was pleasant, offering a lovely view of the lake."

"As for the food—excellent! I tried the Birria tacos and the Cali tacos along with some fries, and the flavor absolutely makes up for the lack of warmth behind the counter. Despite the staff’s disinterest, I would definitely return for the great food. The pineapple habanero sauce was deliciously sweet with a spicy kick, and I wish I could buy a bottle of it! There was some confusion about whether the staff clears the tables or if it’s up to the customers, so we went ahead and cleaned up ourselves. I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Edit: Who is in charge of the fish tank? It could use some care."

"I was hired by Doordash to photograph some Jeremy's dishes. As you can see, they are in to-go containers. They usually present their dishes on cafeteria tablets. I'm a fan of this restaurant and its former restaurant, Jeremy's. He is very talented and the SMOKED meats are perfect all the time! Be careful with the Nashville Hot Chicken! It is something too spicy for my taste, but all other dishes are sooo good. Please try all her sauces. I'm sure you'll finally find your favorites. Also great outdoor seating. They will not be disappointed with their courts!"

"My God My God today!!! This was our first time at this restaurant and we did a take out. I was looking for a good wing place and this place popped up immediately on yelp. I read the reviews and my goodness we tried it and BABYYYYYYYY them Geechie Wings did not disappoint. My husband got the pork chops and they were great as well. It was so much we couldn't even finish which will make a good snack later. We both had Mac and cheese. He had orka soup and collard greens my goodness again . We will definitely recommend and will be back GREAT JOB!! Great customer service as well. Then the top of the mountain was KOOLAID yes koolaid in punch peach and lemonade. The koolaid was very good not overly sweet but just the right balance. We will definitely be back!! Too greedy to take pictures."

"Our food was great but the service was awful. We waited 30 minutes to receive our check, as did the table next to us that had small children. During that time, our plates weren't even cleared. When our table of 6 asked for refills on drinks, she took each glass away, one at a time, and brought it back. Whenever we asked for something, such as salt and pepper, she acted as if we were putting her out or asking for something special or unreasonable. She wore a rumpled shirt that looked like she had just gotten out of bed, not something you expect for the menu price. Our service at this restaurant has never been very friendly but at least we received service."
