"We have loved this little restaurant over the years, but lately have had worse and worse experiences here, mostly involving slow service. Bastille Day was the straw that broke the camel 's back. First, apparently they have difficulty with Open Table reservations. I made a reservation through Open Table, but when we got there we weren 't on the list. Luckily (or not, you decide) there were tables available outside, and the weather was ok, so we got a table. We saw that it was busy, so made our selections quickly and ordered. The server brought our drinks (note: the wine was pretty terrible, like it had been opened for a long time if you order wine here, go for a bottle and just take the extra home), and that was the last we saw of her for the next 45 minutes until our food came. We had ordered the pomme frittes to share, but she hadn 't brought them, so I asked if the fries were on their way (they normally bring them before the entrees), and she replied I only have two hands . Well. I hadn 't asked in a nasty way, but her reply indicated that she certainly took it like I had. In any case, the fries arrived. Normally our favorite part of the meal because they are so good. I bit into one, and it was like biting into a pretzel. Upon inspection, the whole bucket was like that. When the server finally came back (at this point we were done with our entrees), I asked if they were supposed to be so crunchy, since they were never like that in the past, and she said that they were supposed to be thin, that she couldn 't control what happened in the kitchen, and that they were very busy. Um, yes, obviously! Didn 't offer to replace the fries or substitute them for something else. Given the decrease in quality of the food and service, I 'm not sure we will be back."
