"Throughout our entire dinner, he hardly checked on us, focusing instead on the other guests. We tried to get his attention multiple times, but he completely ignored us, maintaining an awkwardly elevated gaze as if we weren't even there. We had to ask a busser for bread rolls, which had been served to the other tables before ours, even though they had arrived after us.
When my mother received her prime rib and lobster, it became clear that the butter in the cup had spilled all over the plate, staining the meat. She requested a new one, and while a food runner immediately took the plate away to address it, our waiter stopped him and told him to simply pour out the butter! Thankfully, the food runner disregarded him and brought her a fresh cut of meat.
It was also my mother’s birthday, and I anticipated some sort of celebration. I heard the staff singing to another table and hoped they would do the same for her, but instead, a girl quietly delivered an ice cream sundae with a candle and quickly left. We sang to her at our table, but it just didn’t have the same spirit. While the food was impeccable, the poor service unfortunately overshadowed my mother’s birthday celebration.
I feel compelled to mention that I’m not typically someone who complains, but I reached out to speak with a manager due to my disappointment with the service. However, she was quite rude over the phone, implying that we were lying about our experience and dismissing our concerns as insignificant. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of consideration. As a server myself, I understand what a quality dining experience should entail, and this was far from that. It’s clear that the manager’s attitude has an impact on the staff. I do want to give a shout-out to the one food runner who truly cared about our experience."
