"Before Harpoon purchased the Long Trail Brewery, we were regulars. For many years, this was the go to place. Local residents were employed there, staff was friendly and service was impeccable despite how crowded or quiet the place was. We decided to go for an early New Year's Eve dinner. We made a reservation. Upon arriving, it became obvious that there were going to be issues. The person at the hostess stand was trying to do too many things ta once, and hardly acknowledged us. Mind you, it was not busy at 5:30 PM. We made a reservation for standard sit down seating, yet the hostess seated us a high top. There were over a dozen tables open. Strike one. After ten minutes, no one came by to even see if we wanted a drink. After 15 minutes, no server, no waitstaff and no drinks. Again, it was not that busy. WE ended up leaving and told the person at the seating station that we would never be back. Shame on the new owners. You have destroyed a treasured local spot. We went down the road to Ramuntos. We were seated, had a beer and had ordered appetizers all within ten minutes. No reservations. Stay away from Long Trail"
