"This past Sunday, we arrived just as they were closing, but there were still plenty of fresh items available for two different gatherings we were attending. The owner is incredibly hardworking, as is the entire team. I wish I had taken pictures of the delights we purchased! We got a round bundt chocolate chip cake, which, although simple with crumbs on top, was a huge hit at the party! I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
We also bought some angel wings, or elephant ears—those large, crispy pastries that probably have an Italian name. We grabbed three, and one was partially dipped in dark chocolate. I was prepared to spend over $30, but I was pleasantly surprised when our total came to only $21! This is remarkable, especially since I know that if I had bought the same items at Alpine Bakery in Smithtown, it would’ve cost over $30.
This bakery is located in the charming town of Sayville. It might be a hidden gem, or perhaps the locals are well aware of it. Either way, I was incredibly impressed, and we will definitely be returning! A huge thank you to the owner(s) for their hard work—everything we bought was delicious, even at closing time."
