"Annapurna is one of our favorite Indian restaurants in the area. The food is excellent, but there are some caveats (see below). We regularly order the Kadai Paneer, Saag Paneer and Naan. Their Mango Lassi is also good. The prices are reasonable for what you get but the portions are also on the smaller side than typical for Indian for 2 adults we usually get 3 curries and a Naan and share it between the 2 of us (which is nice because you can try several dishes). The food is excellent. Here are some warnings before you go and also some updates of things that have changed in the last year or two:1) All the food is vegetarian. I'm not a vegetarian, but the food here is excellent so don't let that deter you.2) They ask you what heat level you want, but it will basically come out spicy no matter what you say I don't mind, but some things have been too spicy for my wife who has a moderate tolerance for spice. If you can't tolerate a bit of heat you might be disappointed periodically.3) You can now order and pay online! When you order you get a text message with your order number. I think this will help them a lot with some of the prior complaints other people have mentioned such as long waits for service, not being greated, etc.4)Someone greeted me right away when I came in, and the people who came in right after me were greeted immediately and had their order taken quickly.5) It looks like they are expanding the grocery area and working on having a dedicated dinning space for the restaurant, so hopefully that will be done soon!"

"I've recently relocated to Atlanta and have already dined at Briyani n Grill four times for their buffet. I must say, their ability to consistently serve delicious dishes is impressive. The hosts, Mani and Jay, truly excel at making their guests feel welcomed, embodying the very essence of South Indian hospitality—think of it as 'royal treatment.' If you’re a fan of thalapakkati mutton biryani or ambur biryani, you won’t be disappointed here. The meat is incredibly fresh, and you can taste it from the very first bite. Its tenderness is simply remarkable. A special shoutout to their festive buffets! I had the pleasure of attending the Ganesh Chaturthi Special on September 16th, which featured an additional menu with Kolukattai, Pongal, Masala Vada, Puliyogare, Panchamirtham, and Masala Dosa. And if you’re vegetarian, don’t fret! Their regular menu offers a generous selection of vegetarian dishes as well. On one occasion, I chose vegetarian options and was delighted by the variety available. The ambiance is enhanced by the sounds of South Indian music, creating a refreshing atmosphere. There are different types of seating arrangements, and my 3-year-old son particularly enjoys the Arabic-style tables. In summary, if you're craving an Indian buffet rich in South Indian flavors, Briyani n Grill is the place to go. Before you visit for a buffet, it’s a good idea to give them a call to help plan for hot food refills based on the crowd. Vegetarian options: Veg biryani, Naan, Masala dosa, Veg fried rice, veg gravy, and much more. Kid-friendliness: They offer free buffet meals for children."

"Absolutely horrible experience overall. I have never been so disappointed by a restaurant's overall service quality, quantity and delivery speed...everything was the absolute worst!!I would give 0 stars to this restaurant if it were possible! My first order was placed at 2:15PM, and the promised delivery time was 3:05, but I was suddenly informed at 3:10, after I had been waiting for an hour, that the order was being canceled. I placed another order at 3:26PM, and the assured delivery this time was at 4:25PM, but the order was finally delivered at 4:51PM!So I technically placed the order at 2:15PM and received it at 4:51PM 2.5 hours later!!On top of all that, the quantity of food was hilariously pathetic for the price they charge .Their prices seem to be way higher than even premium restaurants in NYC!How can half a plate of tandoori chicken for $15 have LITERALLY 2 SMALL PIECES?! Every other Indian restaurant in the Journal Square area gives at least 3 4 pieces per half plate!Even the Chicken 65 plate looked like they somehow packed up whatever extra quantity they had left and sent it over.Every other restaurant I've ordered from, delivers literally twice the amount for the same price, and I actually have ordered food from every Indian restaurant in Jersey City.I'm never ordering from this place again! EVEN with BOGO, the quantity seemed way too less for the price I paid! The taste wasn't that good either, very bland and stale overall. I cook better food at home when I'm half asleep!"
