"I've noticed a growing number of 1-star reviews, and after reading them, I can see why. Many customers have voiced their complaints about the unfriendly staff at this restaurant. My fiancée and I moved to New York a few years ago and have enjoyed stopping by Bagel Express for breakfast from time to time. The owner is very pleasant. However, when my fiancée went to pick up two dozen bagels for our Thanksgiving gathering, she had a disappointing experience. Even though she arrived early to ensure there would be enough bagels, the man behind the counter gave her an unpleasant look and made a sarcastic remark to another customer about "out of towners." My fiancée remained polite despite the situation, but it still felt hurtful. Because of this, we can no longer recommend Bagel Express."
