"This is located inside the Holiday Inn on 13th Ave, as in you need to park and walk inside the hotel to get to it...also, like almost all other places in the area, this is exceedingly slow. That aside, I found this place mostly enjoyable, but in a qualified sense. Servers, from front of house to the actual wait staff, were exceedingly polite. The waiter probably should have brought a notepad for a group as large as we were, but he didn't do too badly, considering, I suppose. His charm and manner more then made up for the couple lapses, which were probably bound to happen by committing that many orders, substitutions and deletions to memory. He should have known better, but I'm not going to discount for a server error like that. All of them were overall quite accommodating. We had a semi-private room and we definitely enjoyed the ambiance there. Food-wise...well, this place is firing right at high end, in terms of classy tables, wood tones and flatware, but the food did not hold up its end. There was such a huge collection of stuff that it's a bit difficult to isolate all of the stuff going on, but the kid's mac and cheese is basically Kraft, the burgers are pathetically small, the walleye strips were mostly ok tasting, with the breading and the fish being good, but the fish also needing to be cleaned considerably better first. The douche (vinegar) chips that came with I could also have done without. They call the menu eclectic, which is shorthand, I suppose, for all over the place, with prime rib and steak Oscar (and a chicken Oscar) and Jambalaya, of all things, right alongside Reubens with chipped beef particles next to something called an Angry Bird Lavosh, which also featured ghost chili sauce. Yep, you know by now, if you read my reviews regularly, something like that I can't pass up, so I got it and it was...ok. Nothing spectacular, certainly nothing hot, but also something gigantic, to the point I found the taste tiresome before I got too much past the halfway point. It either should be noted on the menu it is meant to be shared or shrunken down considerably. They also should use more of the ghost chili sauce and probably triple the jalapenos... I like that they were going for impressive, but aside from visually and with the wait staff demeanor, they miss the mark pretty considerably. In a restaurant, food has to deliver whatever promise you want to make with decor and the other trappings and unless and until they get that part through their heads, this is going to stay an also ran...though a mostly pleasing one."

"So many things wrong with our visit! My husband and I stopped in on Saturday evening at 7pm after reviewing the place on-line, it looked like a good menu and had decent reviews so we drove beyond Hudson to give it a try. They close at 9pm on Sat. night, but we arrived in plenty of time. There were only 4 tables when we arrived, 1 wait staff. We were brought a paper menu, which was NOT the same choices as the on-line menu, it was greatly reduced. First red flag... we came for the menu online! Tried to order the Scottish eggs and they were out, so we ordered the sausage rolls. Strike two, but it happens... bummer While we waited for the app my husband went to the restroom, he came back to let me know women's bathroom was closed and the men's bathroom was out of hand soap, so he'd gone into the closed women's bathroom to wash his hands. Whoa!! Not busy, how could something like soap in the bathroom get overlooked? OK, maybe it JUST ran out by coincidence. Maybe? Ordered our meals, hubby ordered the Rueben, the whole reason we went there to begin with asked if it comes with thousand island dressing and was told yes. (I ordered the pasty) meals come out and first off we noticed he had a bun on his sandwich instead of rye bread ... remember, he ordered a Rueben? I poked at his sandwich lifting the bun which revealed shredded beef. This wasn't a Rueben! Ok, mistakes happen, so we call the waitress over to say um, hey, I ordered a Rueben. She says, I'm so sorry, did you I said Do you remember the question about the thousand island coming with the sandwich She says, Oh, yes..... I'm sorry, we're out of corn beef. Is there something else you want Well no, that was the whole reason we went there to begin with. She gets a menu for my husband to look at again, it's been a long day, it's now 7:30 and he wants something quick, he's starving! He orders the fish and chips (substitute salad for fries thinking she could bring his salad out to start and have something to eat while I start my meal). 20 min. later his fish and the salad come out, together. I'm done with my meal, and he's helped me. fish was good, I had a couple bites. The salad was left uneaten after pulling slimy wilted salad pieces out of it. I eat wilty bag salad at home all the time, but this was beyond what even I will tolerate. I asked about Sunday brunch, the items on the table card looked good, waitress said they're closed on Sunday's, no brunch. While I watched my husband eat his dinner, 17$ for 3 pieces of cod and a slimy salad, I said aloud that I wondered if she would take something off the bill, it was 8pm, 1 hr after we got to the restaurant before he got his food after the mess up. She brought the bill and and it was 62$ for two beers, 1 app. 1 good meal and 1 fair meal. Definitely not worth it, and NO comp. She had brought him a free 2nd beer, but by then we were just ready to go and would have passed. She boxed the beef sandwich he didn't order so we could bring it home, but by that point with the various issues we just wanted to leave. Midway through we discussed giving them a second chance and coming back in a few months, the waitress outright said they're short staffed and it was only her 3rd day, but between the bathroom issue, the meal mix-up where she could have/should have offered him something to eat while he waited for his meal or at least brought his salad out ahead so he had something, or given a few bucks off at the end.... we will not go back. She said the owner was in the back cooking, nas we were leaving another employee came out and started waiting on a new table. I feel bad, I know Covid has hurt so many businesses and everyone is short staffed. The reduction in menu is no doubt due to funds available to manage a full kitchen, and it's hard to get staff if you're paying minimum wage. Minimally the bathrooms could be available with soap. We also thought the prices, for location and plating"
