"Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start! Before we even got to Second Happy Door, the host greeted us with menus, and they were very polite. Once we sat down, we were served refreshing water with ice and napkins—such attentive service! Our waiter came by shortly after to take our orders, and the coffee arrived quickly. We ordered the French Toast Deluxe, which came with eggs and cheese, as well as cheddar cheese and extra pancakes. Honestly, this was the best French toast I've ever had! It was perfectly warm and cooked just right in the middle. The flavor was outstanding; the cook truly nailed it. The presentation was also impressive!"

"The service was exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive and considerate, always ensuring that I was well taken care of. I opted for breakfast, and while I haven’t tried their ice cream yet, I can speak highly of the breakfast offerings. It’s classic diner fare, executed perfectly. I had no complaints at all. From bacon and eggs to pancakes, home fries, omelettes, and sausage—these are all staples that they nail without a hitch. It’s basic food, but in the best way possible! It was exactly what I was hoping for. The manager was incredibly friendly, filling my coffee cup to the brim and checking in frequently to make sure everything was satisfactory. I just wish I had caught his name! In summary, if you find yourself in Queens and are in search of an authentic, old-school dining experience rich with history and ambiance, look no further. Jahns is definitely worth a visit! "Made a reservation for 8:30pm on their website. It was listed as a drop down option time. We walked in sat down, there was four of us, and a girl working came up to us and said “sorry our kitchen closes at 8:30, we can’t serve you food anymore”. So we got no dinner and ended up leaving. How are they going to list 8;30 as a reservation online if the kitchen closes then?!!"

"Excellent food very fresh! I have been very disappointed with all our other local dinners lately and nearly forgot about acropolis (moved away for a few years) they are by far the best diner in town great food great people I go nearly every morning. I would have given 5 stars for atmosphere but one of their longest working servers tends to walk around causing problems with the other servers and complaining about the owners right in front of customers and it makes me uncomfortable. Everyone else is happy and great at their jobs and love the owners. I can't hate this place for one person everything else about the restaurant is amazing I hope they do something about this server soon"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. However, I felt that the waitress was a bit rushed and seemed annoyed when I mentioned that the cappuccino/espresso was cold. Instead of apologizing, she simply expressed her surprise that it was cold. She did offer to warm them up in the microwave, which she did. Two of our guests voiced their complaints, and she kindly removed that charge from the bill, but the other two guests were too polite to say anything. I might consider giving this place another shot, but I’m not sure I’d want to have the same waitress again."

"Whoever is taking the orders is taking them wrong . I sent my son to pick up my order and they never asked him who was the order name under . They gave him the wrong pizza . Called the guys was super rude and literally was screaming to me on the phone. I sent the pizza back so I could get the pizza I ordered and still got the wrong pizza . I received half pepperoni half cheese when I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza light on sauce . Plus he didn't give back my son the correct change. I never spoke to him bad or rude . They are blaming me for everything when they still didn't give my correct order."

"Evan, the bartender, also came over to say hello, and we had the pleasure of complimenting him on his wonderful winter holiday drink menu. The cocktails were outstanding, delicious, and exactly what we hoped for from such a unique local "secret" spot. I was genuinely charmed by the ambiance; you have truly created a gem of a space. What stood out most was how the staff enhanced our experience throughout our 90-minute visit. When it was time for us to leave, they graciously invited us to return for more. Their professionalism and the way they handled our departure were commendable. Thank you for such a delightful evening. "This place truly exceeded my expectations! The blend of restaurant dining and healthy food is wonderfully balanced here. We tried the salmon crepe, which was a solid 5 stars. I’d suggest adding avocado to it. The chili cheese fries were a bit too salty for my taste, so I would give them 3 stars. However, the chicken salad was our absolute favorite! The portions are huge, and it’s not just plain lettuce; it features a proper salad mix with various ingredients and generous amounts of freshly grilled chicken. We're definitely planning to come back!"

"The rudest staff I have ever experienced. We were a bit late to our reservation but thought it would be okay because of the minute grace period. Apparently not. While we were waiting in line to see the hostess they canceled our reservation. We immediately went up to the hostess to say we were present she said too bad the reservation was canceled. I said I didn’t understand who could have taken our table that quickly, she proceeded to be rude and unhelpful. If she would have been polite and worked with us to reschedule I would have completely understood the cancellation. She told me they were booked solid and continued to be rude. The best part is I walked away and went on open table and was able to rebook the reservation for the same amount of people at around the same time. It was clearly unnecessary for her to be that unhelpful. AND when we were seated the restaurant had PLENTY of availability. I attached photos of how much availability there was. Worst service ever, will not return"

"We understand things are difficult in restaurants, but there were issues with our dinner. Our server was polite, but did not follow up with us during the meal and missed a drink order from one in our group. Second, this was a special occasion, a 91st birthday, and our mother grew up in the neighborhood so this place is special to her. When our meals arrived, our mother's dish did not. She had to wait another 10 minutes before she was served. We politely requested that the meal be taken off the bill, but that request was denied. We were offered drinks and dessert, but we weren't there to drink and had birthday cake waiting. We finally agreed to take-home dessert and received stale cannolis as compensation. The Chateau, after all these years, should be ashamed."

"I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. However, there was one issue with my meal: it was overcooked. I had ordered my salmon to be cooked medium, but it came out very well done and tasted burnt. When I mentioned this, they took the dish back and brought me a new piece of salmon that looked underseasoned. It was supposed to come with a sauce, but there was none on it. Allegedly, the manager was the one who brought it to me, and while the waiter was friendly enough to remove it from my bill, I believe the manager should have handled the situation with more care and ensured my dish was served properly. That's the only disappointing part of the experience. Everything else was great—the atmosphere was welcoming, there was a DJ playing good music at a volume that allowed for conversation, and our proximity to the DJ made for a perfect ambiance."

"I ordered a cheese steak wrap with fries and a tuna salad. It was excellent the wrap was better, than the traditional roll that is normally used for cheese steaks. Plus a wrap has less calories. The cheese steak wasn't oily at all which was a major plus, the onions and peppers really enhanced the flavor. The tuna salad was great. It had mixed lettuce, plum tomatoes,olives,cucumbers, and onions with a generous amount of tuna, with a soft small roll on the side. I was very pleased with the food. I normally bought pizza and wings from Frank's but will definitely order other dishes from now on. Thanks for the great food. I highly recommend Frank's."

"I stopped in for a lunch break with a friend and enjoyed some appetizers along with a glass of wine. We tried three appetizers: stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and chicken wings. The stuffed mushrooms were my favorite; they were absolutely delicious! The bruschetta was served on mini baguettes, making it tasty as well. The chicken wings were straightforward, but the blue cheese dipping sauce was delightful. Overall, the portion sizes were generous and offered great value for the money."
