"Located in the middle of a relatively sparse area of Sheepshead Bay, this pizzeria does not attract a copious amount of crowds which is positive in my view because the atmosphere typically does not get tainted with dystopian and rowdy clientele. Instead, the vast majority of the clientele here are really down to earth and pleasant to be around with. Speaking of the atmosphere, this is where Pizza D 'Amore really shines relative to other local pizzerias in the area the ambience is very warm and homely. It has a cozy and cute dining room located in the front that is perfect for dining with a date or family furthermore, a very spacious room that is plastered with classical Italian decor is conveniently located in the back for parties of all occasions. When it comes down to the food, Pizza D 'Amore definitely does not disappoint. The Rigatoni al Fungi and Meatball Parmigiana entree which my party feasted upon last week was so exceptional that it even rivals that of other high end Italian eateries in the area especially from a value perspective. Finally, the service was on point and very satisfying. Luigi, the owner, is a very diligent and compassionate individual he will make it his best interest to accommodate and please the clientele, whether they are new or returning. Connor, one of the waiters, is also very attentive and efficient. My only complaint or feedback for this place is that the house disco dance music that currently plays in the background should be swapped for soft lounge ambient jazz tracks. Other than that, this establishment is a true hidden gem in its own right."

"if they are looking for a cheap, nice portions, fast lunch restaurant and do not care about service, then this is the place to try. lunch menu is cheap, generous and tasty. service was unfriendly, but efficient. there was a total annoyed, involuntary atmosphere. the look that the staff gave us when we asked for fork was rather rude. it was not just our waiting staff, it was also the recipe. they had problems finding our reservation. we collect the points, so we wanted to make sure they checked us properly. no problem with sitting, place was mostly empty, but they could not worry less when we courteously repeatedly mentioned that the app did not show that we checked. then the waitress said that it took care of it, then, at the cashier, the front had not taken care of it, did not hold any reservation, then the reservation finally found. they didn't treat it professionally at all. the person showed a negative job to determine the problem. also here the good service is not their appetizer, but the food was good, portion generous. the food came fast and was fresh. hibachi steak was the only meal that didn't taste so good. the steak was of poor quality. excellent taste on the chicken sensation, chickenteriyaki bookists and roasted rice. here is hope that the team had an off-day because we tend to be some of the most political costumers that you can have and always leave 50-100% tips. the service had been much better at an earlier occasion."

"The food was bland, the pasta over cooked and swollen, the sauce flavorless, the garlic, wine, and herbs mentioned non existent. The shrimp was covered in mush and tasted extremely fishy, the tomatoes in the dish were large cubes of flavorless and watery beefsteak tomatoes. Of what we ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with added shrimp, the shrimp scampi (Romana), and the spaghetti in the eggplant Parmesan are as described above. The salads came without the dressing, the side order of garlic bread tasted like it was frozen for five years and then thrown in a toaster. The cake slices were ridiculously slim and short unlike anything I have ever received at any self respecting place. The only thing that tasted semi-ok was the eggplant parmigiana sans pasta with a dash of salt desperately needed. I highly recommend you steer clear if you want authentic Italian, or anything even remotely edible or worth the price. The sauce literally tastes like they boiled tomato paste in water without even adding salt. There was no garlic, basil, or olive oil to speak of, let alone wine. I normally don’t enjoy leaving a bad review for any business, but this was so awful with so many reviews on DoorDash that I needed to rectify that travesty. You can’t trust reviews when the people leaving them have no taste or standards. Purchase and eat at your own risk!"
