"I have placed a food order online via the restaurants slice app. I ordered a 16 cheese pizza with extra cheese, garlic and peperoni. I also ordered sweet potatoes, 12 chicken parm sub, carrot cake, chocolate cake and 2 liters of diet coke. eating is disgusting. the pizza tastes like a card board. no taste at all. no additional cheese. if they call this extra cheese, they will be mistaken. the sweet potato fries were all soggy and not frissable. the only thing that wasn't bad was the 2 liter diätkoks. when I complained, the owner said that they do their best to make their food big. no refund on an order of $69. Avoid this place like the plague."

"The pizza was very lack luster. The service was great but that couldn't bring up my review. The salad was soggy but then again its a pizza place not a salad place. The pizza crust was solid as a rock and somewhat cold by the time it got to the table. I like Quad city style pizza but this wasn't a great representation of it. The place itself wasn't too loud so great place to grab a bite catch up with friends before a show at second city. But its food to fill your stomach, not really for enjoying."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"We had a retirement party for my husband and could not have been more pleased with our experience at Monterey Lanes! The staff made every effort to accommodate our wishes and the service was excellent from booking the event, to serving us food, to keeping the area picked up, etc. I was happily pleased with the clean restrooms on each side of the venue, conveniently placed trash cans, room for personal items, full bar, cleanliness, and quality of the food. I would highly recommend this venue for your parties or just an evening out with friends or your significant other. Great job!"

"Let me start out by saying the food is great but the owner is absolutely one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. He will not give you his name and will argue with you over a missing salad dressing. I will also state a large group of people place these orders as least weekly and have placed thousands of dollars worth of orders in 2023 alone. We will now be looking for another local pizza company that will be grateful for our business. Good luck to the employees who have to work for such a terrible individual. Good luck to the customer in their food being right, don’t call and tell them anything is wrong as you will be the problem and just get yelled at and hung up on.Response to the owner: it was not mayo it was blue cheese dressing which we did not find, you hung up on me and I called a second time after you refuse to let me speak to Nikki or Amber. You seriously are terrible and can’t even get the information correctly as you don’t care. Little do you know those thousands spent there in 2023 were on my credit card and myself and others will not be ordering from such a terrible business owner. You may still have other co workers order there but it will be very few and orders will be very minimal for 1-2 people. It’s very amusing that you are trying to make yourself look good by lying in the review and to literally yell at a customer over “blue cheese” and hang up on them. You clearly are too big headed of a business owner and just remember who pays your bills, the customer. Good luck with all your future business"

"Oh my gosh, the Elote Bits! In Ecuador, we call them Mais Choclo. They are so delicious here—better than what you'll find from the street vendors, even though they're a bit more expensive. That's all I can say about them! I used to come here to play pool, but they recently removed the tables to make space for more dining tables. A friend of mine had some beers on a Monday afternoon, I think, and the girl at the bar was really cool. It’s nice that my friend is a regular here."

"The restaurant was conveniently located for us and the menu looked good. When we arrived they had no way to check a reservation and didn't have a table ready for us. It took about 15 minutes for someone to even greet our table, so we could already decide on our dinner when a server spoke to us for the first time. It then took another 25 to 30 minutes for our dinner to arrive. We had a Caesar Salad, Slider and Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wouldn't order anything more. The beer was good and it seemed a fun place. There was live music which was really good, but the whole place was so loud that it was impossible to talk to."

"Wish we would have left. We seriously considered it. Had a reservation (obvi) so they knew to expect us. However, seemed like we surprised them. They were completely unprepared to seat 6 people. Only two wait staff for entire facility (20 tables inside). More seating outside. Most of the tables had dishes waiting for removal when we arrived. We waited 15 minutes for a table to be cleared so we could be seated. After 10 minutes without menus our server we helped ourselves to drinks. (Perhaps serving yourself drinks initially is common practice there but if so it was not conveyed to us). I had to track down the waiter to ask how we ordered wine. He said from the wine menu and turned his back to me to get something from the food pass. I found one myself on another table. Waiter forgot to put in two of our orders. Said it didn’t print on the ticket . Perhaps it wasn’t placed in the computer?? After another 20 minutes one of us had to go to the kitchen window and ask when the meals would come. Food was mediocre at best. That is generous. Server never asked if we needed anything. Skip it!!"

"I don?t normally do reviews because let?s be honest mistakes happen. After reading all the reviews from townies establishment, I was sold most of the reviews were really good excluding a couple bad ones! But I had to get the steak and cheese with onions because I have been craving it. So I decided to try here instead of my normal place. The girl who took my order was very friendly. After heading to pick up my order everything was perfect! Service the wait time was pretty good. Than to the part where I get home to be disappointed, no onions on both mine and my husband sandwhich. Which was so upsetting because what?s a steak and cheese without onions?? in my opinion. So I decided to call and make sure that I was not the one who forgot to ask for onions, because again mistakes happen. But no I did ask for onions. The only disappointment was after letting the girl know of the situation she apologized and than asked to make 2 new ones. The point here is I would have gladly said yes but honestly did not want to wait again for another 2 sandwhiches, than having to go out again after I?ve just gotten back from townies! I was hungry and had just gotten home from work. I just wish that there was something more done about the situation than an apology. Which don?t get me wrong I appreciated that. Other than that the sandwiches were ok but it would have been better with the flavor of the caramalized onions."

"I want to start off by saying that when I come into town I always like to come to this restaurant but the past couple of visits the service has gone down hill. This time we waited about 20 mins for the server to come over and greet us but he could go to other tables and serve them. Once he came over he had an attitude and said he was just over the day. We should have walked out right then and there but decided to go ahead and order. We placed our orders and both dinners were bland and not worth it (nachos and the haddock plate). Not sure if I will be back."
