"I felt inclined to update my review. I initially had a bad experience and happened to return and the friendly lady at the drive thru remembered me acknowledged the previous incident. She apologized and assured me it was addressed by the owner. I thanked her and mentioned the tacos were too good for me not to return. As a customer I appreciate that fact that the issue was addressed so now I can continue to visit in the mornings."

"I have put a call and the maitre d' was a very friendly and friendly, dark haired young man. the taco salad was good and the clientele was friendly in the bar. a beautiful festive atmosphere. I ordered a soft drink in the bar and I had to ask to get it in a glass I thought was surprising. it took a while to get the drink because they had the taste I wanted in the cellar or in a storage area and it had to be retrieved. the place was busy and for me this is a good indicator that it is a good place. I would definitely go back."

"First time eating here. The tables were cleared of dishes, but definitely not wiped down and cleaned. If you're looking for cleanliness and sanitation, this isn't the place for you. Yes, this should be first on everybody's list. However, let's be honest, we know what we are getting into before we even park at our chosen establishment.Our server was initially fast and efficient. She didn't make us wait long before she came to ask us for our drinks, then quickly took our food order. We went for breakfast (7am) and they were already busy. Even so, our food came out quick. And it was pretty good. Both my husband and I enjoyed our plates. He got huevos rancheros, and I got oatmeal.After our food was dropped at the table, our server never came back. Almost 20 min went by, so finally we just had to ask for her. I asked for the check, She did that quickly, and then awkwardly stood there waiting for payment. I gave her the card, she brought the receipts back immediately, and stood there awkwardly AGAIN waiting for me to sign it (I couldn't keep my giggle this time). I said thanks and I'd get it to her when I was finished. Only then did she leave.At any rate, other than the service taking an unexpected turn at the end, it was an all around good experience here."

"Response to owner: I think it’s interesting you’re so confident that it wasn’t your food that gave me food poisoning. I did not specify a day. So how could you know? Either something wasn’t cooked properly or one of your workers were working while infected. I made this review when I was feeling a bit better to do so.First and LAST time I order from this restaurant. I ordered to go for 2 plates of enchiladas verdes and they tasted great, BUT Immediately after eating I was going to the restroom constantly. I thought, maybe it was just too spicy for my stomach. Woke up the next morning with horrible back pain and thought maybe I just slept wrong. A couple hours later I started throwing up. I waited an additional day in hopes whatever was wrong with me would go away. I was in so much pain so I decided to go to the ER and they told me it was food poisoning! Ridiculous! I’ve NEVER had food poisoning, and buying take out is supposed to be convenient but this was anything but!Parking: No parking."

"Had breakfast here this morning with my grandma and kids, and it was such a great experience! The food was amazing—everything tasted homemade, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients. I had the chilaquiles, and they were SO good. The tortillas were homemade, and everything had that perfect balance of flavor, like a real home-cooked meal. Service was great too—super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a solid little spot for good, fresh Mexican food. Will be back for sure!"

"What a letdown. I grew up enjoying Teka Molino at its original location on N. St. Mary's. Over the years, even as ownership changed, my family and I continued to frequent the San Pedro location. We were excited when the Rittiman location opened. However, more often than not, especially during the pandemic, the to-go food has been quite disappointing. There’s nothing appealing about opening a takeout box only to find all your food squished together and soggy. The puffy tacos were anything but puffy; they resembled regular corn tortillas. The salad looked like it had been tossed around carelessly. The chalupa was mushy and wet. Unfortunately, we’ve tried the to-go options several times, and it hasn’t improved."

"I stopped by for lunch today and ordered the Puffy Taco plate, while the people I was with enjoyed the Tacos Callejeros plate. The food was fantastic! My tacos were delicious, and being in the town that invented the 'Puffy Taco,' I can confidently say they were amazing. The beef and chicken were seasoned to perfection, and the taco shell was just the right thickness—neither too thick nor greasy. The homemade corn tortillas were a delightful surprise. The street tacos were equally impressive, overflowing with meat. Both the Asada and Pastor were well-seasoned, and the addition of grilled onions added a lovely flavor; once again, the tortillas were impeccable. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the charro beans were—it’s something I’ll remember as the weather gets colder; a warm bowl of beans will be just what I need to warm up!"

There 's a huge menu of tacos, BBQ, burgers, and even a chicken fried steak. There 's indoor dining and a walk-up window. I 've had both breakfast tacos and a brisket sandwich here. The servings are generous and while not gourmet, they 're filling and satisfy your cravings for BBQ or tacos. They 've also got excellent iced tea and a full condiment bar. This is a great option for a satisfying, yet efficient, breakfast or lunch."

"I was really excited to try the vegan chilaquiles at this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience didn't meet my expectations. What I received was basically a bowl of chips with some salsa, a few slices of green peppers, and a small serving of beans. To make things worse, each plate cost $12.50, which felt incredibly overpriced for what I got. I ended up spending $25 for two plates that were worth about $6 each. I did notice they had vegan enchiladas and pozole on the menu, but after this disappointing meal, I don't think I'll return. It was a real letdown for breakfast—I came in hungry and left feeling even more dissatisfied."

"I visited this restaurant with my family and enjoyed a margarita along with some guacamole. Kevin, the shift leader, was exceptionally courteous and patient, even with a steady stream of guests. He personally brought our food outside and even turned on the lights for us! We really appreciate this location because it’s close to home, always quiet and clean. "Okay I found this place like a week in half ago on doordash. And I haven’t looked back since. As you can see I have been ordering almost everyday. Affordable. Love their pepperoni pizza (8.50$ whatttt) and the wings are cooked so perfectly and the Buffalo sauce is so delicious. We are from NY so it’s hard to find good pizza and Buffalo wings made the right way. I didn’t really like their bbq sauce but it wasn’t bad. Also they give you lollipops which my children love such a good find."

"Patty and her catering crew prepared the food for my annual 4th of July Annual family picnic and set up as well as tore down the meal setup at my home. My wife and I were totally delighted with the taste, quantity and quality of all the food. The price was extremely reasonable. Chef Tom did an outstanding job. My guest were absolutely delighted with the food and complimented spread. No doubt Patty and Tom will be doing my Holiday catering from now and onward. Thank you Chaparritas for an outstanding job. "I reviewed this fantastic restaurant back in 2020, and I can confidently say they are still the best. We ordered the #15 Puffy Taco plate and the #20 Teka Favorite, along with some chips and salsa. I opted for the #15 with guacamole instead of meat, and their guacamole is simply unbeatable. They don’t compromise the perfection of the avocado; they just add a few spices and tomatoes, and that's all. It's perfect! My aunt tried the Teka Favorite, which includes Nickel tacos, a bean roll, a cup of guacamole, and fried cheese. It’s no wonder why this dish is a favorite—delicious! I've been coming to this restaurant for what feels like forever, and the service has always been exceptional. The staff is consistently friendly and eager to help, always ready with a smile and recommendations when you ask. The restaurant has been updated and looks amazing—so warm and inviting! They even have a side room with a big-screen TV that mostly plays sports, which is great. But if you prefer a quieter setting, there’s another area better suited for you. You should definitely check it out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!"
