"This is my favorite Mexican restaurant, and I've never had a bad experience here. However, I've noticed that the presentation and portion sizes are far better when dining in. For example, I ordered the chori pollo for takeout (I chopped the chicken before taking a picture), and as you can see, everything was just tossed into a single takeout container. The lettuce, guacamole, and pico de gallo were all warm and mixed in with the rest of the food, making the beans almost disappear due to the mixing. While the food is always fresh, I wish the takeout presentation and portion sizes matched what I enjoy when dining in. I've included pictures of my takeout chori pollo, as well as a dining-in dish from a few months ago, to illustrate the difference in presentation and portion size."

"My initial review of this place was of take-out food very close to the beginning of the pandemic. It was a bit rough. I really thought I should give them a chance to do better. The other day I came in for a lunch special--chile relleno with rice and refrieds. Service was very good--really fast food delivery. I only had a few minutes to eat their chips and salsa. Their salsa is served warm, and this salsa, unlike some I've had, seemed made to be served that way. The chile relleno was decent, a nice savory sauce but I don't know if it would displace my favorites. The rice and beans were good. Got a generous serving of guacamole. The interior of the place is what I really wanted to see. And it's a very appealing version of the standard Mexican place--lots of commercial art, color scheme chosen to increase your appetite. A nice place to come with your family. The restroom was fine, though they do use the hallway as a storage area so be careful if you are mobility impaired. Overall, glad I came back."

"The food here was good but the prices were INSANE! My family was looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try. I found Rudy's on Google and it had decent reviews. When we arrived the menu they handed us did not reflect the menu we saw online and there was anote on the table notifying customers of a price change so I figured that that was what the difference was. We ordered a combomeal, fajitas for 1, a kids meal $10! , an ala carte taco, 2 Dr Peppers and a milk. Our bill was $75!! -apparently the note ofprice increase was an additional increase... Unfortunately we will not return as the price is too much for what we ordered."

"One of my favorite local spots in Eastern Market, I’ve been visiting this restaurant for nearly 15 years. They offer a solid selection of vegetarian options, and the staff is always willing to accommodate special food requests. The drinks are excellent—my go-to choices are usually margaritas or sangria. The food is consistently delicious; I particularly love their beans and rice, enchiladas, and quesadillas, which are our usual order. While you wait, they serve chips and salsa. The service here is outstanding, and it’s a family-run business (Henry is fantastic) with a small but attentive staff who make sure you feel well taken care of. They also have outdoor seating available."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"This place is a gem! We just arrived in the area for my husband’s job at Los Alamos National Lab. We randomly ended up at this restaurant and are so happy that we did. We walked in and were in love with the brightly painted festive atmosphere. Upon sitting we were immediately served chips with refried beans and two types of Pico De Gallo. The beans were flavorful and the Pico De Gallo was fresh. There was regular Pico De Gallo and also another delicious type that I had never encountered. The kind and attentive waitress informed us that it was made with avocado and cream. For my meal, I had the Tostadas De Ceviche. They were awesome and included a lot of fresh veggies and avocado. Super healthy. Not sure what my husband had but I stole some corn off of his plate and it was amazing. My glass of wine was filled to the brim (literally but this place also felt super family-friendly. If you are in the area, don’t miss out on this place!"

"So glad we stopped here, haven’t been since I was in high school. The food is so good, highly suggest the fried chicken and onion rings but honestly it was all good. I don’t like crinkle fries but even their crinkle fries were crispy and delicious. Butter pecan shake for the win! Staff was awesome, we will definitely be going back. Thank you!! Kid-friendliness: Perfect for my 2 year old. We will come back when she is older to play mini golf."

"I am a huge fan of the Hot Harry's brand, having first discovered it in Massachusetts at their Pittsfield and Dalton locations. When I moved to East Greenbush, I was thrilled to find a Hot Harry's nearby. My favorite aspect of the brand is their Burrito of the Month. However, after visiting three times over the course of three different months, I've been disappointed to find that this location has been unable to prepare the Burrito of the Month. They either don't have the right ingredients or have run out. The staff is always very apologetic and explains that they receive the ingredients late and tend to run out quickly. Unfortunately, even planning my visit for the 15th of the month hasn’t helped; they still don’t have the necessary items. Oh, and they also don’t offer ranch sauce?"

"Easily the best Mexican food I've ever had! Hands down the most flavorful, authentic food that you can find. Mom had a chicken quesadilla and I had a chicken burrito style rice bowl... amazing flavor. Chicken was so delicious. We were so impressed with not only the food but the staff. "What a hidden underrated gem! Was looking for a breakfast spot while in Atwater for an errand, and my typical go tos werent open yet, so I found Tacos Villa Corona via Google Maps and I couldn’t feel luckier! No frills, order at a window (no seating), large but simplified menu, and absolutely delicious food. They have breakfast tacos, burritos (and more, I just don’t remember), and you can add various types of meat or veggies. For tacos I tried the chorizo, carne asada, and nopales versions (all with eggs and cheese). WOW. So flavorful. The spicy sauce they serve with it is perfection. I ordered a breakfast burrito for my boyfriend at home and he was also blown away. Also extremely affordable, which is hard to find in this economy. Glad to see a homemade option for the community that doesn’t compromise on flavor. Wish there was a Tacos Villa Corona on the westside, I would frequent it weekly!"

"The rice was dry, so I tasted the posole off my wifes plate and it was also dry. The red chile was burnt, and the green chile so uncomfortably hot that not even people that like it hot can eat it at peace. The roast beef tacos were okay, but the topper was the staff. The 50-ish lady with the hazel eyes and curly hair is so f'n rude. We were slurping the tiny droplets of our beverage off the melting ice at the bottom of the glass before we were even offered a refill. And the flies overing over my plate?? Well, I don't think I even need to say anymore. I can see that they have something good going and HUGE potential. The owners really need to retraing and refine their ambiance and staff, so it's not so ghetto and unprofessional."
