"I have eaten at several Chinese restaurants, and sadly, this was the worst experience I've ever had. It all began with our waiter, who struggled to keep our drinks filled. While the appetizers were fantastic—especially the dynamite shrimp, fried dumplings, and my personal favorite, the lettuce wraps—everything took a turn for the worse after that. After waiting 45 minutes for our main courses following the appetizers, our waiter finally said he would check on our food. I could see him speaking with the chef, and to my dismay, I learned that our order hadn't even been placed. This resulted in a cascade of problems. Instead of being upfront, the waiter tried to blame the delay on the restaurant being busy. First and foremost, lying to customers is unacceptable. Ten minutes later, our food finally arrived, and it was disappointing. The lo mein noodles were cold, the honey crispy chicken was soggy and tasted like orange chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken was just mediocre. To make matters worse, the fried rice was served in one bowl for two separate orders, which was illogical. Although the waiter apologized, his excuses were unhelpful. Other diners who arrived after us received their meals within 10-15 minutes, which made our situation all the more frustrating. And remember those drink refill issues? We only got one refill, so at least he was honest about that. Ultimately, honesty is key. When we finished our meal, the manager came over, but it was clear he was aware of the issues we faced and chose to do nothing about them. He even held the door open for us as we left, and when he asked how everything was, I could only respond with one word: TERRIBLE. In the end, we paid for a meal that did not meet our expectations for quality. While this could be seen as an isolated incident, it felt like a significant oversight in customer service. It’s unfortunate that the staff recognized the problems but failed to adequately address them."

"From the moment we walked in, the greeters and waitstaff were very friendly. It was clear they wanted us to have an enjoyable experience. They made appropriate suggestions, and our food arrived in a timely manner. However, this is where my lower star rating comes in. My daughter ordered spring rolls, but she and the kids didn't enjoy them; they found the taste off-putting. My starter was egg drop soup, but I was surprised to see it was brown instead of the expected yellow. While it tasted good, it wasn’t anything spectacular. We also ordered non-alcoholic drinks. My server went above and beyond to secure me a glass of pomegranate juice, which was delicious! The kids ordered Honey Chicken with rice and Orange Chicken with rice and a side of noodles. My daughter went with Lo Mein, but only with broccoli—she's not very adventurous! I chose the Spicy Korean Glass Noodles with beef, and I really indulged myself by finishing my meal. It had the right amount of light spice and was very well-seasoned. The others took home their leftovers. Unfortunately, about an hour later, my stomach started to churn after we went to the movies. I experienced two episodes of diarrhea, which made for a scary feeling while trying to enjoy the film. After my daughter and the kids decided to see a second movie, I opted to head straight home to get comfortable for a long night. Would I go back again? Absolutely! The incident may have simply been a fluke, and I’m eager to try another dish that caught my eye. I’ll keep you updated!"

"As this is the Covid Era of restaurant dining, the wife and I normally order takeout from their excellent mixed Asian menu. This time however, we decided to dine in and try the hibachi side of the restaurant. We arrived early, around 4:30pm and were seated by ourselves. There was already a large party of 8 at a nearby hibachi table and they looked like they were having a terrific time so we were excited to see what Canton Palace's Osaka Hibachi offered. There was a large selection of various steaks, vegetables and seafoods on the menu. The wife chose salmon and d allows and I chose shrimp and tenderloin. Although we were seated alone, we didn't have to wait long for our chef. Our waitress was very attentive and our chef did not disappoint. From an onion volcano to flipping shrimp through the air for us to catch in our mouths, our chef was fun and entertaining. The food was excellent and I have to day the tenderloin was the best I have ever eaten at any restaurant, hands down. My wife loved her salmon and scallops and the chef prepared all our portions exactly as we requested. My shrimp was also perfect and the fried rice was wonderful as well. We knew from our takeout experiences prior how good the food was, but to experience it on the restaurant and have it fresh was a treat. I can't recommend Canton palace enough, the traditional side and the hibachi side are both wonderful! Do your family and yourself a favor and the next time you're in the mood for Asian cuisine, stop by the Canton Palace!"
