"I have eaten at several Chinese restaurants, and sadly, this was the worst experience I've ever had. It all began with our waiter, who struggled to keep our drinks filled. While the appetizers were fantastic—especially the dynamite shrimp, fried dumplings, and my personal favorite, the lettuce wraps—everything took a turn for the worse after that.
After waiting 45 minutes for our main courses following the appetizers, our waiter finally said he would check on our food. I could see him speaking with the chef, and to my dismay, I learned that our order hadn't even been placed. This resulted in a cascade of problems. Instead of being upfront, the waiter tried to blame the delay on the restaurant being busy. First and foremost, lying to customers is unacceptable.
Ten minutes later, our food finally arrived, and it was disappointing. The lo mein noodles were cold, the honey crispy chicken was soggy and tasted like orange chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken was just mediocre. To make matters worse, the fried rice was served in one bowl for two separate orders, which was illogical.
Although the waiter apologized, his excuses were unhelpful. Other diners who arrived after us received their meals within 10-15 minutes, which made our situation all the more frustrating. And remember those drink refill issues? We only got one refill, so at least he was honest about that. Ultimately, honesty is key.
When we finished our meal, the manager came over, but it was clear he was aware of the issues we faced and chose to do nothing about them. He even held the door open for us as we left, and when he asked how everything was, I could only respond with one word: TERRIBLE.
In the end, we paid for a meal that did not meet our expectations for quality. While this could be seen as an isolated incident, it felt like a significant oversight in customer service. It’s unfortunate that the staff recognized the problems but failed to adequately address them."
