"After the most relaxing morning spa treatments, we were looking forward to a nice lunch and Hazelwood Tonka Bay did not disappoint. Our spa attire had us feeling pretty under dressed for indoor seating at this location. I'm sure we would have been fine for lunch but it just seemed more relaxed and comfortable outside. We arrived at shift change and we were asked to wait about 10 minutes for the new server starting their shift. This mention was greatly appreciated in advance so we didn't perceive the lag in introductions as slow service. 5 stars to the host that was on point!! The three of us shared the calamari and didn't leave a crumb. We each ordered a cup of lobster bisque and we all decided we would return simply for these two courses. Our entrees were also incredible. I ordered the halibut special, my daughter ordered a burger and my mom ordered the steak salad. We all were completely content and carried enough leftovers home for another enjoyable meal. I would recommend Hazelwood Tonka Bay for a nice meal of any kind business, girls day, date night or any celebration. Definitely on the spendier side, even at lunch, but you will not be disappointed."

"Service was awesome as always. Sat outside in anticipation of my toddlers being very loud, they did not disappoint and screamed their little hearts out. Luckily the couple next to us were more so amused and happy to interact with them. The Hippie salad is delish! I added chicken...okay, you got me...I also added bacon and I could not finish it, so next time I do order it, I'll ask for the dressing on the side. Also ordered a plethora of menu items. Brussel sprouts which were large in size and cut in half, tasty and cooked to perfection. Buffalo wings crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Children's chicken tender meals 4 strips lightly breaded with juicy pieces of chicken. Shoestring fries and sweet potato fries were great. Sonoma salad and a burger, I wasn't able to taste them but tbh you can't go wrong with any item on the menu, except for the fact that you should have ordered more lol. Service was fast despite being full of customers, and they came to check on us frequently which is awesome. Love it here!"

"We were so looking forward to the Counter being open again. Imagine our surprise that quality has dropped dramatically. First, the new process is to be seated by a hostess, complete your burger menu at the table, and bring it up to the register, where you place the order, and pay including a required tip. Normally I would be tipping except we received zero service. It was not clear if you wanted refills whether you needed to go back to the counter, or if someone would come around. No one came around, not even to ask how the food was. As to the food, my grilled red onions were gray, and had an acrid taste. Not really burnt, but just awful. My medium rare burger was well done. The had onion strings crammed together so much that they were a greasy brick that was mostly inedible. I hope the Counter will take heed and return to table service, and improve the quality of their meals."

"Love the new look, however the noise level was ridiculous and that was with the room half full. Service was impeccable, as always. We were disappointed with the menu. We went expecting the Annie Gunn’s experience but instead found a menu for St. Patrick’s Day. I am fine with a special menu for a holiday, however the entire menu was 90% altered! We had not been in so long and were really looking forward to it and had been bragging about the food to our friends from out of town who were our dinner guests so we were extremely disappointed."

"Really great impossible burger cooked medium rare. It 'bled! ' It 's been a few years since I 've been to the counter but the service was great and the build your own burger experience was the same as I remembered. Shoestring fries aren 't my favorite but theirs are pretty solid even though I 'm not a fan of that cut. Great atmosphere to catch up with friends in."

"The pork chop was cooked perfectly. Carmelized apples and onion were spot-on as the topping for the chop, just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the meat. Emerald, the executive chef, came out to greet us and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Leave room for dessert. Emerald makes the desserts herself, and they are truly a treat. The vanilla bean layer cake was yummy, and the Pavlova was special. Graze always pleases me with their unusual offerings, right in Locust Grove, VA!"

"We started with a pound of meatballs in marinara sauce, served with delicious bread, planning to take half home for a midnight snack. Next, we shared a large Caesar salad, which was a generous portion for both of us. For the main course, my partner ordered the traditional meat lasagna, while I opted for the chicken alfredo lasagna. Both dishes were fantastic, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. Usually, after such a meal, we wouldn’t consider dessert, but the peach pecan cobbler was too tempting to resist, and we are so glad we gave in—it was absolutely the best! Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and not intrusive, which added to the pleasant experience. The breathtaking views of the sunset elevated our meal to the next level. We’ll remember this wonderful dining experience for a long time, but not too long—we’ll definitely be back for more!"

"The service is so prompt and friendly. Water is constantly checked and refilled. Full of energy and service quality. My Juicy Lucy burger is really good. The cheese and sauce is in between the beef patties. When you bite the first time, the sauce andcheese burst out from the other side of burger. It is kinda messy yet fun. Burger is juicy, and for me, the sauce is a bit toosalty that belongs to heavy flavor category and water is definitely needed. Fried onion rings are think and easy to eat. It isthin like shoelaces, you?d better eat it when it is hot and crispy. I like this place, tiny and full of friendliness. Youngpeople with good smiles, attitude and most of all, outstanding service quality that makes people want to come again. The onlyminor drawback is not about service or food but IT. The payment system on the table does not work. We go with traditional billand credit card signature route. Bravo!"

"the counter is a chain that offers many options for burger, but also other items such as shakes, a lot of frits, tweeper rings salad. recently, it added an impossible burger, the vegan is a good try, something that tastes like meat it tastes good. there is also a vegan patty burger option also has ice-free brot, although the brot breaks quite easily, so it challenging to eat the burger. so I prefer to take it as a bowl. the palette of toppings that they can put on their sandwich is huge, with many items they would never buy if to make something home, or to find on other burger objects. the possibilities are essentially limitless, so they can taste different combinations or keep their burger traditional and simple. the service can be slow, long when they are busy. get the counter card to collect points for eating. the nussella brezel shake is great."

"I tried the Margherita, Quattro Formaggi, and Plain pizzas (a slice of each) and they were all quite good. The dough was soft, the sauce had a lovely sweetness, and they were generous with the cheese. Just a heads up: they do not offer delivery. There was a post on Google stating they had contact-free delivery, but they only provide pick-up. If your journey is less than 30 minutes, I would definitely recommend the pick-up. The person who answered the phone was very understanding about this confusion. Service: Takeout."

"Did not disappoint! Our waiter, Mike, was the best. Great attitude. Great service. The food came out quicker than expected. The bus boy(man) was very attentive. Removing out plates as soon as we were done and checking if we needed a refill. The Texas Bourbon burger was very tasteful, juice, exquisite! The buffalo wings were spicy and juicy as well. The fries were perfectly crispy. Shakes, were very good! No feeling like you gotta sheez right after. BBQ Chicken Salad was alright. Too much tomatoes. But the chicken was very tender and delicious. For those that care, your receipt comes with a gratuity fee already included."

"The Dining Room at the Ritz provided me with the most unforgettable dining experience I've had to date. Everything was simply perfect—the food, the service, and even the decor. I enjoyed a six-course meal that included chilled asparagus soup, lamb chops, lobster, scallions, rose pudding on cucumber sorbet, and chocolate cake with ice cream. Our waiter, a wonderfully friendly French gentleman, even offered to bring me extra dessert because I enjoyed it so much. At the end of the meal, he wheeled over a cart filled with chocolates and truffles, allowing us to indulge in a few pieces of each. As expected, the prices here can be quite high. A word of caution about the mineral water—it’s $16 per bottle, and we didn't realize that until we had already finished three! Nonetheless, the experience at the Ritz is absolutely worth the splurge. If I could, I would give it 10 stars."

"The restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere. However, I was surprised by the large serving of chips that came with the artichoke dip, as it seemed like a whole bag of chips. I felt uneasy about the potential waste since we couldn't finish them all. Additionally, I ordered a chicken soup but was served a roast soup instead, and the beef in the soup was dry. Although the bartender/waitress was new, I had to awkwardly ask her to confirm with the cooks if the soup was actually chicken. It was uncomfortable for me to raise this issue as a customer, but I felt it was necessary. The waitress later explained that even the cooks were unsure if it was chicken soup. The item was removed from the bill, and I ended up sharing my husband's sandwich instead of waiting for a new dish to be made. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, just uncomfortable and inconvenient. Despite this, I may still give the restaurant another chance in the future."
