"Fairly small place, but even though they were short on help at that time, the lady working (the only one in front) was phenomenal. She handled everything without showing stress. Food was awesome. Onion Rings were like from home Chipolte Black Bean Burger was the best I have ever had. My husband's sandwich was excellent. We will definitely keep that on our radar whenever we are in the area. Vegetarian options: I try to do vegetarian as much as I can and I had a hard time until I say the Chipotle Black bean burger."

"I brought my Mom here for birthday dinner as it looked like a nice place with good vegetarian options. They also take reservations via Yelp, which is always super handy. Right away, I loved the internal ambiance and the high top tables. The place feels like a nice restaurant but also not something overly formal/dressy. The cocktail and wine selections were also great, I especially loved their interesting wintery take on an old fashion that included brandy cherry juice, tea, and Aztec chocolate. As for the food itself, it was yummy! Nothing mind blowing or innovative, but it is well executed American contemporary fare. They nailed the texture on my scallops and my Mom loved the vegetarian chili. The service was the highlight for me, as our waitress was super attentive and fast to bring us more drinks or water. They also gave us a mango sorbet on the house for my Mom's birthday, which is always an appreciated touch. Overall, definitely recommend this spot if you want good local food with a nice ambiance."

"Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start! Before we even got to Second Happy Door, the host greeted us with menus, and they were very polite. Once we sat down, we were served refreshing water with ice and napkins—such attentive service! Our waiter came by shortly after to take our orders, and the coffee arrived quickly. We ordered the French Toast Deluxe, which came with eggs and cheese, as well as cheddar cheese and extra pancakes. Honestly, this was the best French toast I've ever had! It was perfectly warm and cooked just right in the middle. The flavor was outstanding; the cook truly nailed it. The presentation was also impressive!"

"I recently caught up with an old friend I hadn't seen in a while, and we decided to meet at a diner we used to frequent. When we arrived, our waiter came to our table promptly and was in a great mood, although I didn't catch his name. Our orders were taken quickly, and everything was clean and organized. "This place is an absolute gem! The food is always fresh and delicious, delivery within the hour even during busy times. The 'half sub ' is huge at 12+ inches, the salad platters are fairly large, and the pizza actually came out amazing? Their customer service is top tier as well. I usually order through grubhub and the app messed up my order, but JC 's caught it and called me to confirm. If they 're ever out of something, they call and offer alternatives. "To celebrate my birthday, I had a few local restaurants to choose from, but with our 5-week-old baby girl, we were limited. This was our first night out, and I picked my favorite place for dinner. "We went to this restaurant on Mother's Day. Although we had a reservation, we didn't learn that there was a restricted Prix Fixe Menu in place until we were seated. Despite the restricted menu, which should have taken pressure off the kitchen, the service often was painfully slow, and we waited for over 10 minutes to receive hot beverages when we were seated; four hot dishes appeared several minutes before the other two came out. On the positive side, there is strong evidence of a serious traditionally trained chef reflected in the food. The Hollandaise on the Eggs Florentine was classic and excellent (rather than the glop that is usually served on eggs , well seasoned with tarragon, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The strip steak was outstanding, and the burger fine, but the duck was mediocre, curiously presented on a bland puree of pea. The breads were standout I am not a big fan of bread, but this bread was well worth eating! Dessert was a platter of 5 elegant confections, two of which were excellent, two of which were good, and one of which was tasteless. Our waiter had an accent (French? that made him hard to understand, and he also seemed to have trouble understanding us when asked about anchovies on a Caesar Salad he told us it was part of the dressing, but it was actually two fish laid on top of the dish (which I would have requested not to have if I had been given correct information . The menu itself was curiously constructed, with explicit information on some dishes, and not much on others. Although this restaurant is meant to be a brasserie model, it lacks the welcoming environment of this kind of setting that is usually established by the host and wait staff the only place this was in evidence was at the bakery, where the service was friendly and attentive. Because of the relatively high quality of the food, it is hoped that this restaurant works on its wait staff and kitchen organization, so that the food is optimally presented."

"Whoever is taking the orders is taking them wrong . I sent my son to pick up my order and they never asked him who was the order name under . They gave him the wrong pizza . Called the guys was super rude and literally was screaming to me on the phone. I sent the pizza back so I could get the pizza I ordered and still got the wrong pizza . I received half pepperoni half cheese when I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza light on sauce . Plus he didn't give back my son the correct change. I never spoke to him bad or rude . "The food was generally good. We tried the sampler plate and were not impressed with the Mozzarella sticks, however the Calamari was surprisingly tasty. The chicken fingers were delicious and the buffalo wings were decent. Our waiter was not very friendly, but we had an international waiter a few weeks ago who was extremely nice! I suppose it depends on the day you visit. The prices were fair, although they are gradually increasing. Overall, we had a good experience at this restaurant - a nice spot for a quick meal."

"I had a wonderful breakfast today, February 12, 2022. The restaurant has just undergone a complete renovation and has recently reopened. The service was excellent, and the food matched that quality. "So thanks to Yelp I've been trying to find the best Italian cold cut maker in Baltimore. So my hunt lead me to my favorite pizza place in town. Maria D's easily has one of the top 5 pizzas in town no debate . Only reason it doesn't get the top spot is cause I've yet to try all of them. This place is a must try to any visitors of our town. But I will warn you the parking like most of the great food places here is brutal. You will either have to walk a few blocks or circle a few before you grab a nice spot. But once you accomplish that mission I promise you will not be disappointed with the pizza. The slices are huge delicious. But to my surprise the Italian cold cut was good too. A perfect meat to bread ratio plus the exact amount of mayo so that when you bite into it you're not making a mess. This made my day cause now I can come here for more than the pizza, chicken cheesesteak on pita. But the best part was the price I literally got a slice of pizza, cold cut, Gatorade for 16. In these covid times it almost felt like I was stealing. Definitely recommend this place down Fed Hill as a destination to eat during your spring summer travels."

"I had taken my grandson twice to Haven Diner for breakfast and the experience was excellent. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Yesterday, we went for breakfast and the experience was terrible. Our waiter, Chris Ramires, appeared to resent having to wait on us. I spilled a glass of water, for which I profusely apologized, and we were then put in a booth way in the back, as if it were a punishment. Chris proceeded to wait on customers who arrived after us, while we sat in the back. We had ordered a cappuccino at the first table at which we were seated. Finally, Cris arrives, unsmiling, annoyed, and we order pancakes. The pancakes arrive but one of the busboys had to ask Cris if he was waiting for the cappuccino, which arrived after my grandson was done with his pancakes. It was cold and the whipped cream had melted into the coffee. Clearly, Cris decided we were unworthy of good service. When I paid, he was manning the register, and he had the audacity to ask about his tip.One rude waiter can ruin a dining experience. I called and was told he was a new employee. We will not be returning to Haven Diner."

"I always order from this restaurant since I work a couple blocks away from here the food is always great . I always order a Cesar Salad with chicken. One time I ordered they did not put chicken in it. I contacted Slice sent them a picture regarding this since they are charging me additional fee for chicken. They kept telling Slice that no it had chicken there was no mistakes they refused the refund. Called myself and they I told them what happened they said they are willing to drop off the chicken I said no thank you would like the refund please said ok and will contact slice to get the refund. A day later slice emailed me that they still believe the order was correct declined my refund. So disappointing cause iI had the proof and theres video footage where I work I even showed the salad to other employees that worked at the school. sadly after this i will not be purchasing here no more."

"the first time to eat around 1799 and we will surely be back! everything was amazing! we think about the next visit or at night in the clifton, so we can enjoy more of the delicious cocktails. we sang in the library, which was intimate, cozy and a really cool atmosphere. the love for the detail of all employees was incredible. we were there to celebrate my friend birthday and they bought a little birthday cake and a candle. I thought that would be just a nice note. our server and host gave us regular attention that gave us the feeling that we were more than happy to serve our needs. the food was incredible! I had the fag and it was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. my friend had the lamb that was also the impeccable standard as the rest of the service, atmosphere and eating. 10/10 would recommend"
