"Packed parking lot suggests you don 't wanna come during a peak hour. While the service for takeout was friendly, and the food was good, it 's not something that I would eat more than once a year. However, I might pick this restaurant before others.. here 's the plop: The pilaf was the best from any of the various Mediterranean restaurants I 've eaten at. It 's usually so basic and dry as to not be even the slightest bit interesting. Here it was moist. But it 's hard to praise somebody for what is a minimal expectation with the CHEAPEST filler on the plate... Didn 't come for the rice, the least complex thing to pull off correctly. The combo plate that I ordered had chicken, beef and a ground meat which I think was supposed to be lamb, although it didn 't taste like it. The meat was cooked perfectly and every bite was edible. The ground portion was a bit dry. Being edible, that alone, is different than other places which get gagged out and thrown in the garbage. Think magic lamp! Don 't EVER get the beef there... The meats had a nice flavor but probably was just a little too salty. And I think that 's what standing out here that people are enjoying. Perceiving it as better when it 's just additional salt. I would like more assertive spicing and would not get the ground beef item in the future. The hummus was delicious. Probably a ton more tahini than it should have...making it rich like butter... The salad was nothing special. I would 've liked a lot more spice on it and some minimal variety. It was basically iceberg lettuce, a couple small cubes of a cucumber and a very watered down dressing that tasted primarily of lemon. It had one tomato slice on top. Another cheap plate filler and not exceptional in any way.. The pita bread was standard Costco or Smart and final. It never holds any interest for me wherever I get it from and goes in the garbage... nothing special there. Do any of these places actually offer something made in-house that is memorable? Skip the pita. The real rub came with their charging $2.50 for two very small containers of garlic sauce. How cheap to charge for that. One or two should be complementary with a dish when you 're paying 23 bucks for it. Come on! Is should have been called sauce 'without the garlic ' because if you 're life depended on it, you 'd have a hard time detecting it. I 'm not clear how you can make a garlic sauce devoid of garlic flavor, but that 's what you 're paying $2.50 for here. The pate would have been more appealing with some charged veggies...onions, peppers, etc. Mine had 2 count them) little cubes of onion for the entire plate. : Some missed opportunity to really stand out here that wouldn 't have required much effort. The restaurant looked clean. It 's humble and the tables were far enough apart. The music was a bit loud but otherwise tolerable. This is a beat up strip mall which could be condemned at any point.. And do understand, you 're not coming here for ambience or a special dining experience. So the food was good but again think about what it is you ARE actually tasting, enjoying. Is it JUST the sensation of more salt or is there 's really something more going on? With what I spent on this plate I could visit Lin 's four times and be full with a takeout box. The reality was just not on par with the idea of what you might have been eating. The service was good and the woman handing me the food had a nice smile on her face. They seem like nice folks and I 'll give them a try again for one of the Shawarma 's... -G"
