"We generally enjoyed our visit, but several things could use improvement. The service was rather slow, even though the place was mostly empty. Our server was nice, but seemed to be trying too hard to be pleasant, as if he was working off a script, rather than just genuinely being a friendly human. He reminded me of a telemarketer. It was a little bit awkward. Also, considering how few tables were occupied, the noise level was a bit much. Some of this was due to the rather loud music. It seemed more like a dance club than a restaurant, making conversation difficult. The food was good. Not great, but good. My wife had the chili wings. The skin wasn't crispy, which is a cardinal sin with chicken wings, and caused her to nearly not be able to eat them. I had the spicy beef pho. The flavor was very good, but there were FAR too many noodles. This is really saying something, since I dearly love rice noodles, and often wish pho came with more. The noodles had not been rinsed properly, so they imparted starch into the broth, making it thick and unappetizing. The basil was wilted and brown, as was some of the cilantro. Neither should have ever made it to my plate. The spice level, however, was perfect. I eat pho roughly twice a month, so I know what to expect. This was a bit disappointing. It was an interesting experience, but I don't think we'll be returning."
