"SO DELICIOUS! I finally had the opportunity to try Annie's Soul Delicious Restaurant. Although, I never made it to the previous location; I most certainly was not disappointed.I ordered the Ox Tail meal, which came with 3 sides. The three sides I ordered were the Greens, Mac Cheese and the Black Eye Peas. I must say that everything was both well seasoned and delicious. The oxtail were very tender and the best seasoned oxtail I've had that were not Jamaican style oxtail.The portion size was good, I actually enjoyed the meal for both lunch and dinner. I will most certainly order the oxtail again.In terms of ordering, I'll admit I was at first throw off because when enter the establishment, there is a Kiosk machine to order from. I later learned after ordering, and while waiting to pick up my meal, to order at the widow. While waiting, I had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting Ms. Annie herself. What a delight and I'm glad I met her. Ms. Annie indicated moving forward to order from the widow instead.I will most certainly be back to visit and be a regular for sure. I definitely have to try the gumbo. The Instagram videos are definitely appealing Annie's Soul Delicious is in fact SO DELICIOUS!! See you soon It's Gumbo Next time!!!"

"Meal was a complete let down. I got a bbq chicken plate with dirty rice and Mac and cheese as well as a Koolaid. Chicken was dry and hard as a rock, the sides didn’t have a lick of seasoning, And the koolaid was no where near fresh. Like it’s been sitting in the jugs for days. With me being 6 months pregnant I was looking forwards to them because my husband said that he’s been going here since he was in high school. It wasn’t even 30 minutes later that the food had me in the bathroom. That was a waste of 20 dollars but it’s a lesson learned as well. Never going back"

"A facility in East Bay, Everett and Jones is a great place to get a good, honest grill. You have 4 locations in East Bay. I was only with this one and the one on Fruitvale. Both are oriented towards take-out, so there are not many tables to eat there. If you want a quieter restaurant atmosphere, you will have to go to Jack London Square. But enough about the ambience, let's talk about the food. The focus is on meat. The pages are pretty much thinking about what's going on. With long smoking times, all meats definitely have a good, smokey taste. Your Bbq sauce is above average, but not spectacular. Your bride is definitely the highlight, slowly cooked and full of taste. Chickens and ribs are better than most, but don't write at home. I'll say I'm not a big fan of their hot links. But all in all, this is the place I go when I go for some good ’cue."

"This place is garbage 2 bad experiences in a row! They didnt have my original order of Seafood gumbo, chicken , beef sausage, shrimp, crab, so they called and had me choose something else that the chef is actually cooking today..chose the shrimp po boy sandwhich, they call 30 mins later and say they have no lettuce! Fries were soggy not even golden brown or crispy, Peach Cobbler looks and taste disgusting(peaches were green) chicken Wings way too salty, will never order from here again not to mention it took over an hour to get my food theyre very slow and unprofessional. Save your money all the good reviews must be her friends or have no good taste because this place is not it"

"I grew up in the church, and as a pastor's kid, I decided to stop by Granny Dee’s after work today since I didn’t feel like cooking. I was a bit hesitant due to some of the reviews, but I told my husband we should give it a try anyway. We ordered the fish special and a slice of old-fashioned pound cake, and all I can say is that it was a wonderful experience! If I had ten thousand tongues, I still couldn’t express my gratitude to Granny Dee enough! The food was hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Honestly, it made me feel so joyful! I can’t comment on the previous negative reviews, but everything was just right for me. If you can trust in God, you can certainly trust Granny Dee! God bless you, Granny! May all that you do thrive. I might be having some fun with this review, but I am genuinely serious. I know good food when I taste it, coming from a family of cooks. This is a straight 5 out of 5 for me!"
