"Stephen and I love this place! The service is top notch and they make you feel so welcomed and appreciated. We've stopped going to several restaurants because we expect Asheville S H type of hospitality lol. Bonus is that they know Stephen and I by nameand because Stephen gets the same thing...they confirm his order before he even says a word ???????????? I always order eitherthe hibachi with extra veggies and it's always great. We love the Fried Tofu, spring rolls and you can't go wrong with theirsushi! Update: I know everyone's experience is going to be different but we have CONSISTENTLY had great service with this Teamand our food is ALWAYS amazing no matter how busy they are for almost a year and we visit quite often!!!"

"Atmosphere: 5 Came by as a pit stop on our road trip. The restaurant isn't big, but there's a few tables and bar seating available. I love that the food came out super fast. My husband and I built a poke bowl and there was a separate paper menu where you could circle your options which makes ordering so much easier. The order was processed quickly, and in less than 10 minutes, we got our food! Portions: 5 The portioning was just right. There was a ton of fish (I ordered tuna and salmon) and the portioning of the other ingredients was just right. I didn't feel like the dressing was too much. I felt like they were generous in allowing the number of choices within each category. So you can really create a poke bowl with a variety of different things in it. Flavors: 5 The fish was fresh and there were so many ways to customize the poke bowl, you really can't go wrong! With all the options, I felt like there were a ton of different textures in the poke bowl. Everything balances out and is super refreshing over a bed of mixed greens. Overall, I'd go there again for the poke bowl. Quick, easy, and refreshing!"

"This is our favorite local sushi spot! The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The owner or manager always checks on me if she hasn't seen me with my husband in a while. The quality of the sushi is exceptional, and I feel completely at ease knowing about the freshness, quality, and handling of the raw fish; it’s the only place I go for sushi. The prices are reasonable, and considering the quality and portions, I believe it’s worth every penny for a treat. We always leave either after a late lunch or dinner feeling stuffed and satisfied, having enjoyed an appetizer, a couple of rolls each, a few sushi orders for me, a shared dessert, and some beers and tea to wash it all down! We've also tried take-out and delivery, which are fantastic. I highly recommend Sushi Tao! I absolutely love this place!"

"Yesterday, my family and I went to lunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the hostess was not very helpful in answering our questions. Despite being a customer for several years, dating back to 2001, I was disappointed with the lack of customer service. The lunch options included rice, a sweet dish, and a choice of soup or salad. When I inquired about adding noodles to our order, the hostess informed me that noodles were only available with the early bird special. She did not offer to add noodles to our lunch order, and I found her attitude rude and unaccommodating. Even my 12-year-old noticed the poor service. I attempted to speak with the owner, but I was unsure if he understood English as there were no other customers present. The restaurant was empty by 2:00 pm. I appreciate that changes may have been made to the lunch menu, but I will not return when there are other nearby options with better customer service. I will be informing my family to take their business elsewhere. It is important for the owner to make improvements to keep the business afloat. Feedback from customers, regardless of age, should be taken seriously to ensure success. Best of luck with future endeavors."

"Always top notch! Crazy amount of food to for restaurant week! 3 soups all Miso(instead of their hibachi soup), 3 salads, 3 appetizers calamari, gyoza, and an eel avocado roll, 3 hibachi dinners, 1 strip strip steak 1 filet and shrimp and 1 lobster and scallop. We added a beef nagamaki 3 pops and 1 large saki. Without tip the bill was only $112!!! Do yourself a favor and go before its over! Everything was included in the price. Besides what we added.... We also always get a booth. We're not into the whole hibachi show..."
