"I have been staying with in-laws in Stony Brook for the last few months because of the pandemic, and have frequented Kai Li multiple times. From the outside it is unassuming with a slightly outdated facade. Don't let this confuse or deter you, because their food is wonderful. We have eaten many of their dishes including sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, as well as a variety of noodle dishes, soups (egg drop soup is really good), and appetizers. All are flavorful and cooked to order, making it fresh and enjoyable to go back each time. The owners, Gina and Steve, are incredibly friendly and remember who I am, as well as their daughter who works the registers, is really nice and professional at the register. Kai Li is both a great value price-wise and a great take on a local Chinese cuisine, and I would highly recommend this take-out restaurant to anyone in the Stony Brook and Port Jefferson area."
