"Pork chop is hands down the best thing here. It is an inch thick with nice grill marks on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Pair that up with a killer sauce to dip in. It was quite incredible. Switched out the sides cause asparagus isgross. Walnut salad was remarkable and the salmon was cooked with the same care the pork chop is. Daddy Mac was everything Ihoped and dreamed. More pork than Mac, could totally have been a meal on its own, but we really enjoyed sharing it. Woulddefinitely order again. Pretzel was great, sauce it came with was good, easy to share, would order that again too. The cookiedessert is freaking awesome. Skillet is hot, cookie is gooey, ice cream melting over it all. Don?t skip. Sun king orangevanilla sunlight cream ale was everything I hoped and dreamed. I keep thinking I want to try other beers, but I haven?t talkedmyself into it yet. Overall it is damn good food, great beer selection, price is right, service was quick. Stop by if you?re intown."

"We had a very good meal here. Just moved to this small area and having a difficult time finding good restaurants. My son liked the spinach artichoke dip, thought it was one of the better ones he has eaten. I had the salmon special with risotto and both were good. My other son had the Delmonico steak special and there was hardly any fat and it was tasted good. We didnt have drinks but it was tuesday and drinks are only $4 which is a good deal. Place is nice inside."

"There were adults and kids for Mother’s Day brunch, I made the reservations so early I had no clue it was a prix fixe menu only. We were planning on ordering apps and drinks by the fire; instead we had to have a course meal with no table! The food was good, the event planning was poor. I had to grab a table from my car for my kids to eat on Additionally, for there were only options with no vegetable or fruit or milk option! Chicken tenders and fries or macaroni only- neither very healthy (I get it most kids don’t eat the best, but mine would have eaten the salmon and I gave them most of my meal and brought my own vegetables as a back up). Service was very slow, understandable with our table being the furthest away from the main building. Our server was so sweet and we tried to help her as much as possible find places to put our food and drinks. We could tell she too was frustrated with lack of space for guests to eat that reserved a fire table. We just moved to town in October the outdoor space is perfect for a family with young kids that don’t sit very long. The stage looks great, we will probably try coming again when there is live music, as toddlers can be loud, so we enjoy when other guests cannot hear them As for the martinis- they were great as well! Will try again, however we are usually “regulars” once we find a place that works for our family with small kids as we enjoy dining out, however if service remains super slow, our kids won’t make it (usually just of sitting, if that)."

"My teenager wouldnt even eat the Lobster Ravioli due to the extremely fishy smell. I had to doctor the Seafood Alfredo AND finish cooking the shrimp(They were still translucent). My husband couldnt finish his eggplant Eggplant Parmesan, it was undercooked, under-sauced(dry) and had no flavor. Then to add a cherry on top none of us received our salads. All for close to $200! Never again! No joke, Red Lobster blows this place out of the water!"

"I stopped by Ithaca Bakery with a friend for a relaxing brunch during a pitstop. Despite living in Ithaca for a year, it was my first time visiting and I regret not coming sooner! I really enjoyed the Sunday morning atmosphere and the wide range of delicious food and drinks available. Although I had already eaten breakfast, I tried the Butter Cookie Chai, which was both delicious and reasonably priced in a large cup. I look forward to trying their pastries and desserts in the future. My friend ordered the Brain Power bowl with ahi tuna, avocado, grapes, goat cheese, quinoa, and other fresh toppings, and it was fantastic. As I am leaving Ithaca this week, I plan to stop by for breakfast before heading to the city. The restaurant has a spacious restroom, both indoor and outdoor seating options, and a slightly confusing ordering process that is clearly explained with detailed instructions. I believe they have been around for 100 years, making them a legendary spot in town. A definite must-try!"

"My sister and I stopped by this restaurant for dinner today on our way home from a road trip near Cleveland, and we had a fantastic experience. The beef on weck was incredible—better than what we had in Ellicottville, New York. The beef was incredibly tender, and the kummelweck bun was exceptionally fresh! Everything was delightful, including the horseradish cream sauce and the French fries. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pretzel bites and the peanut butter pie. I will definitely be coming back! Our server, Missy, was attentive, efficient, friendly, and truly amazing—I can't praise her enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Overall, everything was top-notch: the service, the food, and the ambiance! "The food was both unique and familiar at the same time. For instance, the chicken Caesar salad was served in a wedge style, grilled, and included tomatoes. The chicken and waffles dish balanced sweetness (from the waffle and candied bacon) with saltiness (thanks to the pickle slaw), making it truly outstanding with vibrant flavors. I'm excited to try more of their dishes. Overall, the menu is inventive, delicious, and familiar—far superior to any chain restaurant in the area. If I had to pick something to critique, it would be the ambiance, as the restaurant could benefit from an update. Another minor issue was the tip options on the machine, which automatically suggested 20%, 22%, and 25%. I find that a bit excessive. Nevertheless, we will definitely be returning!"

"Quaint little country Cafe near Akron falls. Service was great. Food was even better! My partner and I both had homemade corned beef hash. There was a whole lot more meat in this than there was potatoes it was perfect and delicious! He had a side of pancakes which he said were abundant and delicious I had a side of home fries which were in appearance home cut there. As they were that uniform cubes that you get from a frozen bag of potatoes but rather larger uniform cut choice of onions or no onions. I went with onions. They had gluten-free toast which is a great bonus for me as I have to be gluten free. My partner had rye and said it was very good. Waitresses kept the coffee flowing! I never ran out and I never ran out of creamer! We are planning to come back for lunch or dinner and hike to the falls again. Definitely recommend this place!"

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"However, we had to wait a long time for our food, which was understandable given the busy atmosphere. The order was split, with the second half of our food taking at least 30 minutes longer to arrive. I was a bit disappointed, though, as I never saw our original bartender again after she took our food order. We were never offered a second round of drinks, and our glasses had been empty for at least half an hour. Despite this, I could tell that the bartender was skilled, and it might have just been bad timing that affected our service. I would definitely give the restaurant another chance, even though I was left wondering about the poor service I experienced. Overall, I think Nickel City deserves another opportunity to impress."

"We had Hilltop cater our wedding and received SO MANY compliments on it. Most people said that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and many said they went back for seconds. The food tasted exactly like the tastings we did, even when made for 130 people. They also were so accommodating with our dietary restrictions, making a majority of the food dairy free and gluten free, even though the guests would have never known. I can’t say enough good things about them. Absolutely delicious and genuinely good people."

"If you visit this restaurant, you can choose your seating freely. The walls are adorned with incredible artwork, and there's an old jukebox that adds to the atmosphere. "Not sure we visited the same palace as others have reviewed. Let's start with, walking in the hostess asked how many while never putting the phone down I said 4 we waited 5 or 6 min with nothing else from her. When we got to the table she put themenus down and walked away. So that's a first. The server was nice but not helpful, kind of felt like we were taking up hertime. Just a real weird experience altogether. The food is hot and just ok aside from the hair we had in our food which youcan see in the pictures. For Italian I expected garlic but none was tasted, it did however taste a bit sweet. We didn't dislikethe food but we also didn't love it. We won?t be back."

"My husband ordered gumbo. I thought the portion size looked rather small. He said it was ok. I ordered bourbon trail tips. These were beef tips marinated in ABC bourbon. My plate was lukewarm when served to me. I really hate being served cold food. I felt the beef had this taste to it, other than the bourbon marinade. I couldn't finish the meat. My mashed potatoes was a small pile, as if an ice cream scoop was used to plate them. No gravy. I somehow thought the beef tips would have more gravy or sauce on them, too. But no. So I asked for a side of gravy, which was pretty tasty. The veggies on the plate were a mix of zucchini and baby peeled carrots. All the large carrots were barely cooked and the smaller ones were overcooked. All in all, it was a strange meal, but it was a busy Friday night and we were hungry. No time to send food back. Thank God for their wonderful Jolly Scot beer. We love that beer. So, yes, we'll be back. But I feel that we shouldn't have to justify a 'just ok' meal because the restaurant is busy. And it seems like the whole restaurant industry should address food temperatures"
