"I didn't want to believe the other reviews because I used to love this place. Unfortunately, Chef Nancy would cry herself to sleep if she ate at her own restaurant. The manager needs to learn from Will Guidara and read Unreasonable Hospitality. The service and attention to customers is abysmal. 1. There were two tables occupied. Ours and a two-top. No one was there, but there were five servers on the floor. So why did we have for water three times? 2. Ordered the branzino. Asked the server if someone can remove the head for us. There were 6 diners in the entire restaurant and yet the chef said he wouldn't do it. I've eaten around the globe and whether in a Michelin restaurant or casual Mexican restaurant, I've always had a fish deboned with ease. Even if that is the policy (which they stated) there were two chefs and three line cooks doing nothing in the kitchen. 3. We ordered the beet salad and noticed what I thought could be nuts. Our guest has a nut allergy so I asked our server to clarify what the topping was. Never replied. 4. The oven was broken. I get it, things break. But according the reviews I read it was already broken for the entire week. So 1. Let's guests with reservations know that dishes aren't available prior to coming. The lasagne was made in the hearth and came out so black, it looked like a charred brick. The two stars are for the salads (which are always delicious)."

"We came here for my son's birthday. He was looking forward to the smoked swordfish, but a confession elicited from our wonderful waiter confirmed that updating the online menu is something that should perhaps be done with more due diligence. This is a small plates restaurant, and a fusion vodka bar, although they also have infused tequila and bourbons. Their vodka infusion menu is amazing. Go for drinks if you are not hungry. Our party had the pina colada vodka which was sweet, the honey fig infused bourbon, and the jalapeno infused tequila. All were excellent, and sipped straight, except for the tequila which was in a margarita. We had six small plates for our party of five, and it was enough. We had the brussels sprouts, the eggplant, the rabbit ragu, the calamari prosciutto, the oyster po'boy, and the jalapeno poppers. All were very good; the calamari and prosciutto and the oyster po'boy were amazing and stole the show. The only underwhelming dish was the rabbit ragu, which we all agreed lacked seasoning with an orecchiette pasta that was overdone. This is a great place to come for an adventure in drinking. We ate upstairs, the place has nooks and crannies, so it would be great for a couple, or even a small group. Not sure how kid friendly it is not a lot of room for strollers or baby seats. Ambience is hip, cozy, intimate. Waitstaff is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly. It's tucked away down a cobbled alley in old town Ellicott City. My only suggestion to Chef Matthew is...update your menu online on a regular basis, and expand it to include your wonderful infused liquors."
