"I recently visited Hong Kong Garden dim sum for lunch and overall, it was a decent experience. The service was really friendly and attentive, and the restaurant wasn't too packed even though we went on a Monday at noon. One thing I liked was that dim sum was made to order by marking the menu, so there weren't too many carts around, which made the food feel more fresh. Now, onto the food. Unfortunately, there were a few misses for us. The haw gao was just plain horrible. The shrimp tasted fishy, grainy, and was in small little pieces. Plus, the outside fell apart before it even got to our table. The sui mai was just okay, comparable to Trader Joe's instant ones. It was surprisingly fishy and too dense. The chicken feet had great flavor, but it was overcooked and mushy, and it fell apart easily. The sweet rice and shrimp balls were also disappointing. The rice was hard and flavorless, and we would pass on them next time. The egg tofu was something new for us, but we probably wouldn't order it again. However, we did appreciate the technique and talent it takes to fry it without breaking it. The pan fried shrimp and chives dumpling were also not great they were huge and rubbery. On the other hand, the deluxe rice roll was the best thing we had and definitely worth coming back for. It had the best texture of any rice roll we've had in Las Vegas, and the shrimp inside was crispy. So, if I were to return to Hong Kong Garden, it would only be for that dish.Lastly, the roast duck was really good the skin was crispy and the meat was tender. It was priced at $12.99 for a quarter duck, which was reasonable. The Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was just okay though the broccoli wasn't bright green and the oyster sauce was quite salty.Overall, I would give Hong Kong Garden dim sum three stars. While the food had its hits and misses, the service was really good and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. So, if you're in the mood for some dim sum and are looking for a place that's not too busy, this could be a decent option just be sure to order the deluxe rice roll."

"on a trip to vegas, my wife and I tried a dimming room with the small old lady who pushes the car and everything. Surprisingly, she also loved the place and the concept after accidental attempts of chicken feet. (even more surprising that she even remembers it! she was hammered! according to the underground dim-sum network here in tampa (not really a thing, this place has good dim-sum. just not a little old lady with a car. that would be the only thing missing, because the hoho lacks nothing else! we only ordered from the menu dim sum, but they have a complete regular menu plus a hot pot menu! next time! I love hot pot! we had dizzyed and garnel noodles and fried garnelen puffballs and an ingenious bark soup and a fried noodle dish with seafood in an oyster sauce. the last 2 were full courts large enough to share with 2 3 people (or more if everyone wanted only a total size portion. it was all so good! service was also great, they began to bring out the dishes very soon after the order, and it was nice to bring them out as everyone was ready to wait for all at once, so if they closed their eyes I think they could only imagine the small old lady who was walking around the car. all very friendly. the place itself is not in a really large area, and the building in which it is was also a foolish sketch. (oddly, the building strip had 3 Asian restaurants, a Persian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant and a Mexican food truck, so it was like a mecca of good food. but the hoho was clean and beautiful on the inside. I'll tell them I sent you. that will not help anyone, and they will not know who I am, even if you explain it, but shoot it."

"We ordered Hainanese chicken breast rice, which cost an extra $5 for dinner as compared to lunch, as well as Hainanese chicken thighs rice, also with a $5 dinner upcharge. Both dishes came with several chicken livers, differing from what was depicted on the menu. After checking Google reviews, I noticed that other customers had only received one or two pieces of liver, while we had an entire column of them. I wondered if this was due to the differences between lunch and dinner options. The waitress had informed us that the dinner would come with double portions of meat. My mom and sister, who ordered the Hainanese chicken rice, didn’t want to eat the chicken livers, but my dad ended up finishing them. My sister, who had the chicken breast, mentioned that it was overcooked and there was some water pooled underneath it. We found ourselves quite thirsty after the meal. Service was lacking, as there seemed to be only one waitress who spent most of her time in the kitchen. When we asked for water and napkins, she quickly handed us some napkins from the counter but didn’t return with the water. One issue worth mentioning involved the air conditioner near the first table by the cash register. It started leaking unexpectedly, drenching the chair before dripping on my back (luckily just a little). When we eventually informed the waitress, she moved the chair away and brought a small basin to catch the water. The air conditioner continued to leak for the rest of our meal, which may have contributed to the overall warm atmosphere in the restaurant."
