"I had visited this restaurant once before for my birthday, but was unable to sit downstairs because they didn't open that section until later. We ended up just having cocktails and decided to come back another time. I made a reservation for my friend's birthday, specifically asking for a later time so we could sit downstairs. The setting is impressive, with a picture wall that catches the eye. However, when we arrived, we were told once again that we couldn't sit downstairs due to it being a slow night. I understand that they had limited staff and couldn't accommodate us downstairs, which I completely understand. The bartender was also serving as our waiter and handling to-go orders. I mention this for others' awareness. Now onto the food. While the quality is good and there are some tasty options, a couple of us were not thrilled with the choices and ended up settling for dishes that didn't excite us. Personally, I ordered the quinoa bowl, but found it lacking in flavor. This place is great for the ambiance and cocktails. I will likely return in the future, but probably just for a light snack and drinks. It's New York, and there are amazing dining options on every block, so my experience here will help me decide whether to visit next time I'm in the neighborhood. One more thing - the bartender who also served as our waiter was incredibly gracious, provided good service, and was very kind in acknowledging the birthday celebration."
