"A friendly lady at the cash register greeted me and handed me a menu. I asked if they served hot tea, to which she replied yes. Scanning the menu, I spotted my old favorite, Mongolian Beef, and ordered it as my main dish. I was pretty hungry (I forgot to mention that earlier). In addition to that, I ordered half an order of crab rangoon and an egg roll. Before long, she tallied up my order, and I received my food in a nice cardboard takeout box. My plan was to eat while driving home.
Sitting in my van in the parking lot, I eagerly grabbed the egg roll and was pleasantly surprised to find it hot and fresh! Next, I tried a crab rangoon, and once again, it was the same delightful experience. She had also included two containers of hot and sour sauce, and I felt like I was in food heaven!
Then I opened the steamed rice and the Mongolian beef (if you’re a fan of onions like I am, you’ve got to order this). The rice was fluffy and delicious, and when I tasted the piping hot Mongolian beef, I couldn't help but think, “Wow, I need to stop driving and just savor this food right here in the parking lot.” I finished everything and then took a sip of the tea that had been brewing. Yep, it was piping hot and just as tasty as I'd hoped.
After enjoying my meal, I had a fortune cookie for dessert. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I know I'll be back as soon as I can, and when I do, I plan to dine inside and enjoy that delicious food all over again. Thank you, Mandarin House, for bringing back a dining experience I thought was long gone! I will definitely return.
