"For breakfast, the buffet offered a great selection including fluffy scrambled eggs, made-to-order omelets, bacon, sausage, assorted breads, fruit, berries, yogurt, and juices. I particularly enjoyed the Avocado Toast from the menu, which consisted of two slices of bread topped with roasted tomato tapenade, plenty of avocado, greens, and pickled onions, along with a crunchy quinoa garnish. During lunch by the pool, our favorites were the Chicken Sandwich and the Tuna Poke served on a rice cake (a roasted rice patty). The shrimp tacos were also quite tasty. For dinner, my husband ordered the Red Snapper, while I had the Shrimp with Orecchiette, which came with five generous shrimp and a good portion of pasta. We started with the Bits of Beet Salad, which was a delightful appetizer to share. On our second dinner visit, we ordered the Bits of Beet Salad again, as well as the Back to the Bone (tenderloin served with beef marrow and potato puffs). While it was unique and interesting, I’m not sure I would order it again. We also tried the Tuna Poke from the bar menu. I must say, the desserts at Fuego y Mar are truly exceptional, and it’s worth a visit just to sample them. I had the Chocolate Heaven, which resembled a chocolate panna cotta surrounded by different types of chocolate, including a chocolate bon bon filled with chocolate ice cream. My husband had a raspberry dessert that he was reluctant to share. Our dinners, including tip and one drink per person, averaged around $180."
