"We visited the Camp Bowie location for our daughter's birthday and found the atmosphere to be fantastic, just as it has been over the years. The service was good, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. We ordered burned ends, a cut brisket plate, a rib basket, and brisket tacos. The burned ends had potential with a nice sauce, but the meat was tough, dry, and mostly fat. The brisket was extremely dry and chewy; we had to slather it in BBQ sauce just to eat it. The ribs were also dry and tough. I'm genuinely surprised that the restaurant served food of this quality. We've dined at various places in recent years, and this meal was, by far, the worst we've experienced. We spent over a hundred dollars for two adults and three children, and for that price, one would expect much better quality."
