"I placed an order over the phone and provided my name and phone number. I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my order at 6:30pm, I was informed that there would be a 10 minute delay due to a rush of orders. This seemed illogical as a time had already been quoted before the rush. I decided to wait in my car while my son waited inside the restaurant, believing it would only be an additional 10 minutes. However, when I checked in with my son 20 minutes later, he was told it would still be 10 more minutes. After calling myself at 7:17pm, I was informed that they were just starting on my order, which was odd considering they had previously stated they were working on it. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to prepare one plate. Despite the quality of the food, the lack of communication about the delay and the fact that they had already charged me before my food was ready were major disappointments. I was even asked for a tip before realizing the hassle I would endure. A simple courtesy call about the delay would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, I left with my food after 7:30pm, 1.5 hours after placing my order. This experience has made me reluctant to return to this restaurant."

"Neddy, is very attentive of her restaurant and customers. It's a family owned business and I have seen all hands on deck myself. Her Husband and Older Son cook while her other children help out as well. Neddy herself loves to talk about her baked goods, which she is very proud of. If you like muffins, she's got muffins (flavors keep growing literally). The food is very delicious and I have no complaints whatsoever. The family is from Jalisco and Puebla. Really nice family and we did enjoy our time there. Thank you so much for being attentive of us. The atmosphere is very authentic to Mexico."

"We were left alone for min. after receiving our menus while the table down from us got waited on times for the same waiter, who never turned his attention toward us. Also, that that time, we tried to politely get the waiter's attention, but he was wrapped up in casual conversations with other workers the place was only full that night. "Was craving Mexican food but wanted something new and closer toward home. It was a cold, windy and rainy day when we came.The host/server was extremely hospitable. He was very friendly and outgoing. Since we were the only table dining indoor on such a cold rainy day, we had his undivided attention. Great service, attention to details (refills and extra napkins without even asking and just an awesome vibe.He was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. We asked the differences in some items that were familiar food and not familiar (which is why we came to learn and explore new food ... we also asked for the authentic food vs the well known American-ize food so that we can understand the cuisine/food abit more. He sold me on his favorite dish which he said, it is an acquired taste ad it was more of a stew and not many Americans would like the taste. I ended up loving it!Hubby and I came for lunch (lunch date! And left very satisfied and happy. We ordered chips with guacamole that also comes with salsa (server brough us hot sauce as well because hot sauce on chips is yum . Ordered:*Large Chips with Guacamole *Taco (3- steak and mixed on corn tortilla *Bistec Ala Mexican*2 Cokes The Bistec Ala Mexican is more of a stew, the server says combining the rice with the spicy tomato is the way to go. Toward the end, I just dump the rest of the rice and beans straight into the bowl and mixed it. It was very lovely and spicy.I would definitely recommend and come back. Both the food quality and service was amazing!"

"Overall, my experience at the restaurant was quite positive. I ordered a burrito, but I felt it had too much rice, making it somewhat mushy. On the plus side, the other ingredients were excellent. The cashier had estimated a wait time of about 15 minutes, and that turned out to be accurate. The food was flavorful, although not spectacular. Aside from the extra rice in my burrito, everything else was up to par. In summary, I had a nice experience with the service, as the wait time was just as the cashier had indicated."

"The menu says for the vegetarian burrito that is only has rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, onions, cilantro, and salsa... it did NOT say lettuce and tomatoes, or I would have removed them from the burrito. Not making what someone paid for per your own advertisement is super freaking lame and it is one of the most irritating things on the bleeping planet....it is NOT HARD to simply make what the menu says you will be getting without adding things it clearly does not state it has in it, oh and btw if you want to spend 10 min picking almost half the meat out of your asada taco that is actually disgusting gristle (which you discovered by biting down on it gag! and fat pieces then this is the place for you....but if you don't want to spend time wondering which part seemed like a bigger waste, deciding what to be disappointed with for your order or picking the inedible parts out of aforementioned order then this is the joint for you."

"La Flor Bakery has delicious Mexican food and really good strong coffee! I have tried the flautas, huaraches, sopes, tacos dorados, and papas fritas and I can highly recommend all of those dishes. This place has a friendly laid back atmosphere, good music, and fresh food at a very reasonable price $7-$10 for a very filling and satisfying dinner). Their pound cake is also very yummy! I literally walk across the park from where I live to buy coffee here because it?s socheap and good. Update: I?m back on my diet which is Keto and I ordered Bistek a la Mexicana with chicken instead and avocado on the side....so flavorful and delicious by far the best thing I?ve had there. "I fell in love with this restaurant and now I order it whenever I can! Every time I order, I try to order something new and each time I find more to love! My favorite meat options are the carnitas and chicken tinga. I love that they have added a kids menu. It's perfect for when I want a smaller portion or when my siblings are over. Growing up in a Mexican household, I order the most when I'm missing home. It is the closest I have been able to get to authentic Mexican food within Park Slope (I order from Seamless). It's a must try! Order the carnitas! I highly recommend the chicken empanadas and flautas also. Literally everything here is great! My partner loves their burritos!"

"This is the restaurant I visit most frequently. I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but those omelettes really are delicious! The burritos are decent—not exactly a grand slam, but maybe more of a solid play. It’s still a win, just with a little caveat. "I found this place because I used to do physical therapy nearby. their taco specials check the marquee) Can’t be beat and they fill it to the brim. Their tortillas are homemade and delicious. I usually get the steak tampiqueño #8) with the enchilada and it’s perfectly cooked it takes me a few meals to finish and it’s delicious. Don’t forget to get a large Jamaica Hibiscus tea) their drinks are so affordable. "Over the past month, I've dined at this restaurant five times whenever I'm in the area for work, and I keep returning. It has quickly become one of my favorites, and I plan to continue eating here in the future. Here’s what I've tried, listed in the order of my visits, and they’re all excellent choices, with my favorites marked with an asterisk: Chorizo burrito, Al pastor bowl*, Stewed chicken bowl, Al pastor taco*, Chorizo taco, and Grilled chicken taco. I highly recommend trying the horchata whenever it’s available. The staff are friendly and wonderful, and they wore masks the entire time, from taking orders to serving food. "Had really high hopes for this place since of the awesome reviews and I know of a few people who recommended this place. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and my husband got the two asada taco combo plate with an extra asada taco on the side. SUPER SMALL TACOS for 2$ each!! The flavors where for sure there BUT the asada meat and chicken meat where horribly dry and some peices burnt. The meats where flavored nicely but what's the point if there dry ? The rice was way overcooked and mushy, litterally my husband was making a sculpture outta them lol, The pinto beans where basic. The tortillas where semi hard and not fresh. The chucks of onions inside the tacos where huge and not chopped finely , so biting into one throws off the flavors and all you taste is intense onion. Skimmy on the cilantro. Guacamole on the tacos tasted good and was a refreshing touch. Salsa was on point, especially the green ones. Grilled onions at the salsa bar are not very grilled at all and again are in huge think chucks. Would like to see cilantro at the bar too. price for both meals was a little over 15$ so it was affordable but for the quality I could have gotten way better elsewhere for the same price. The Jamaica drink was very good and the highlight of my meal. The gentlemen who took our order was super nice too But... Wheres the passion and love in the food? Overall a disappointment and we will probably not return as it was nothing to ride home about. Such a shame cause they seem like they have good potential.."
