"I revisited this restaurant in 2012 and had a terrible experience. We waited nearly 2 hours for our food, only to receive cold dishes that were not what we ordered. My pregnant sister politely asked for the smoke to be removed, but the staff refused. The way they threw the menu on our table was a red flag. We understand that they were busy with about 10 people, but the service was unacceptable. The food was mediocre at best, and I have no intention of dining there again. It is not worth the $249 price tag. I am puzzled as to why they have a green pass for hygiene, as it seemed more like a brown pass for cleanliness. If you want to save money, just stick to Panda Express."

"I will be totally frank here some of the other reviews I have read are what lowered my rating down (perhaps by 1 star). I can tell based on these reviews as well as by google reviews that this place is very much a hit or miss. With that being said, this is my opinion Service our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. However, she was also the sushi chef. WTF? Food my partner and I stopped in for a few basic rolls as an appetizer (so we didn 't try anything exotic or crazy). We both enjoyed them no complaints and reasonably priced. I also got a thai tea with boba which I liked! Atmosphere odd, as it was dinner time and we were there with one other person (this restaurant is in a pretty popular area). It seemed clean and nice though. I actually think we would return for a basic roll or two. As my rating suggests, this place is just okay, and I think they could likely improve by responding (nicely and by taking action) to suggestions that others have written about."

"This is undoubtedly the best Chinese food around! I’ve tried many places in search of delicious Chinese cuisine, and this is by far my favorite. The service is excellent, and the food is always hot and plentiful, leaving me with plenty of leftovers. I always order from Hong Kong Express! Just be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes after your scheduled pickup time. For vegetarians, the sesame tofu is fantastic!"

"It doesn't look like much from the outside. But the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The variety of dishes on the menu is vast. We had beef chow fun with gravy, salt pepper pork chops, prawns with lobster sauce and sweet sour chicken. You don't need to go to Chinatown for delicious Chinese food. We will definetely be coming back."

"A1 for YEARS has been my favorite restaurant and go to for hibachi. I frequent here ALL the time. Recently I noticed they must have new ownership/management and it is just not the same anymore. The wait staff is definitely better than it had been in recent years and Jeff (chef) is still the BEST. But they have clearly changed meat suppliers as the food, especially the steaks, are not nearly as good anymore. They changed the mustard sauce to “yum yum” sauce which is okay but not great. The zombies- must be lacking alcohol all together anymore because I had 3 and was BARELY buzzed. They rush you out by bringing over checks and boxes while you are still eating!! The air conditioning is definitely NOT fixed- I was there LAST NIGHT and it was hotter inside than outside- our whole party was dripping in sweat!! Overall, I still prefer A1 to the other local hibachi spot, but I wish they would have not messed with a good thing when they changed ownership- it was 1000000x better before."

"I placed my lunch order through DoorDash, and everything appeared to be in order according to the app. However, Lotus Garden ended up canceling my order and called me afterward. I’ve now been waiting for my lunch for 45 minutes, and the refund for the canceled order isn't processed immediately. This isn't my first bad experience with Lotus Garden; it's just the final straw. I won’t be eating there again."

"The sushi was delicious and left us amazed with how generous the portions were. It was truly sushi to savor every bite of! The service was prompt and friendly, and we were seated at the sushi bar since there were no tables left but this was a blessing in disguise! We got complimentary sashimi for sitting at the bar, so just be wary of that if you do not like raw sushi but decide to sit there. The sushi chefs were attentive and friendly despite the dinner rush, and it was a great environment for a fun date! Prices look steep, but considering how much fish were in the rolls and the beauty of the plate, it felt worth it. Parking: There was no parking in the lot immediately outside the restaurant, but you should be able to find a spot in the strip mall a 30-second drive away."

"Atmosphere: 5 Came by as a pit stop on our road trip. The restaurant isn't big, but there's a few tables and bar seating available. I love that the food came out super fast. My husband and I built a poke bowl and there was a separate paper menu where you could circle your options which makes ordering so much easier. The order was processed quickly, and in less than 10 minutes, we got our food! Portions: 5 The portioning was just right. There was a ton of fish (I ordered tuna and salmon) and the portioning of the other ingredients was just right. I didn't feel like the dressing was too much. I felt like they were generous in allowing the number of choices within each category. So you can really create a poke bowl with a variety of different things in it. Flavors: 5 The fish was fresh and there were so many ways to customize the poke bowl, you really can't go wrong! With all the options, I felt like there were a ton of different textures in the poke bowl. Everything balances out and is super refreshing over a bed of mixed greens. Overall, I'd go there again for the poke bowl. Quick, easy, and refreshing!"

"We had a fantastic experience! The service was outstanding; our water glasses were never empty. The portion sizes were generous, and there was a wide selection of dishes to sample at reasonable prices. The sushi rolls ranged from $6 to $15 and looked delicious. There was also a nice variety of Thai dishes to choose from. I ordered the Panang curry, which I really enjoyed, while my husband had the Kung Pao chicken and loved it. The scallion pancake was very tasty and a great recommendation from our waiter. We'll definitely be returning!"

"Loved Mekong Asian Bistro! The restaurant is very well kept. The wait staff was kind, attentive, and generally very helpful. Offering tips and a smile. They are branded on Google as a Chinese restaurant, but they seem to be operated by a Thai ownership. I love it, because Thai food rocks! All the curry tasted was really good, the Pad Thai, Asian fusion crab Rangoon, tofu egg soup, and the Cambodian style Mee Katang was all on-point. The lunch specials were all good portions at a great price. All the lunch specials included white or brown rice, a crab Rangoon with wonton crisps, and a small bowl of homemade tofu-egg soup. Everything came out of the kitchen super hot! There is an abundance of parking off-street. I hate to admit it, but I ate at about 4 different places today…..shared items….I promise! But Mekong Asian Bistro was the stand-out of the day by far! I will 100% be back."

"I have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. It is a fairly busy restaurant so go early on friday and the weekend if you want to avoid waiting for a long time. I went again today(Wednesday) and weekdays are pretty full too. You can watch them make roti in the middle of the restaurant. That being said, you must order their Roti. It comes piping hot and crispy. Love their tofu dishes such as sizzling tofu and pretty much all of the other tofu dishes here. Volcano short ribs is similar to a sweet and sour rib. So far I have like everything."

"Food is over priced and it tastes horrible. The fried rice is salty and not even worth eating. The Lemon Chicken is ALL crust. Honestly, where's the chicken!! The wonton soup was ok but I've had so much better. Overall, highly disappointed! Will never give them future business. Austinites, who has the best lemon chicken because it's definitely not China Dynasty. Instead of China Dynasty it should be China Nasty. Yes, that bad!! Save your money. "My delivery took over an hour, and unfortunately, I only received half of my order while being charged full price. When I called to inquire about the missing items, the woman on the phone insulted me, implying I was unable to place my order correctly. I explained that I had clearly given both the meal numbers and names (like G12 for sweet and sour chicken), but she insisted I hadn't done so. She refused to send the remaining items unless I paid extra. Ultimately, I had to drive to the restaurant to pick up the missing food after initially paying for delivery. I will not be returning."
